    I’ve enjoyed using the Gan 356i to keep tabs of turn count. I’m not very good but I’m surprised how little moves the odd solves are I can imagine you guys that know a lot off OLL & PLL are kicking butt. Love your cubing vids but I wish you posted more of your music too man :)

    I like this approach of FMC. FMC on the fly. Result within minutes. But solving and counting at the same time is a hassle. A self counting cube would be nice.

      No, I don't feel that actually represents how well each cube functions. They each have things that make them useful. Tier lists are lazy and click-bait-y.

    In the biggining fcop example you could just have rotated the cube and save a free move instead of aufing before pll. But you did say you weren't gonna do a crazy solution.

      Ya, I did that on purpose, not trying to save anything but just doing a more standard solve.

    Just a quick question, in FMC, can't we just reverse the scramble provided to us and write that down as the solution?

    • @SpeedCubeReview
      @SpeedCubeReview  3 роки тому +1

      Nope. It's started in the regulations that you cannot use any part of the scramble in your solution. If something looks similar you need to explain how you logically came to that conclusion.

    I don't have a problem doing FMC like i do it sometimes in my mind(for roux only as to work on efficiency) but lets just say that I'm gonna be competing in FMC like how do i write down the moves is the reverse scramble thing necessary and how do i count my moves. At first I thought that it was easy but once i watched a vid about it i couldnt understand a thing i watched j perms video and urs too and a few others but i still couldn't get it.

      Check my tutorial I link in the description. When you write moves that are on the inverse you invert them again and write them starting from the end moving forward. I'm sure that sound a little confusing but I visually demonstrated in the tutorial in the description

      @@SpeedCubeReview I did check your tutorial but i still didn't understand, the tutorial was good but some stuff i didn't understand i will check it out right now again to try and understand. Thank you for answering my question.

    • @SpeedCubeReview

      For multiple cubes often one is regular and one is inverse for me, and then maybe I will keep on on a spot and try something else with the third cube.

    • @SpeedCubeReview
      @SpeedCubeReview  4 роки тому +2

      The color of plastic does not influence how it feels in any way that is observable over just how you lubricate it.

    • @gcolombelli
      @gcolombelli 4 роки тому

      @@SpeedCubeReview Thanks, that's interesting, and it makes a lot of sense. It's better to compare the same puzzle to gauge the difference, if any, to reduce the influence of other variables.
      I was thinking about how dyed plastic is way more finnicky than undyed plastic for 3D printing and was blaming on that how the Galaxy V2M feels like it needs way more care with lubrication than the GAN Megaminx. But that was just silly of me.
      There's a whole more than just that, the puzzle design, surface finish, texture, coating, additives, chemical treatment and so on, all play a (probably bigger) role in the final feel and performance of a plastic. And to be fair do dyed plastic, I do like the feel of the 2019 (glossy) Weilong WR M more than that of other cubes with all primary / undyed internals.
      And in the end, proper lubrication and setup should have a much bigger impact on the final feel of the puzzle.
