There is an abundance of smokeless coal in North America. With current technology, the emissions would exceed acceptable standards.
Shutting down and demolishing the coal fired hydroelectric plant in Mississauga was a mistake.
Agreed, they changed all ours to Natural gas in Alberta. I do Maintenance on those boilers. I cost me about 60k a year, not having that work anymore

Higher Public Office, should be some thing you really want, to benefit its citizenship. To be a active participant, not saying "I don't know and I am not responsible " A sacred responsibly to the body politic, not special interest groups. As far as food prices go the carbon tax increases the fuel price for the truckers and the farmers atm by 20-30 percent. The carbon tax increases the utility cost atm for manufacturers and grocers by 20-30 percent but the Liberals will tell you it doesn't increase the cost of food. So nice of everyone along the way to eat that cost and not pass it on.

The technology is there today for hybrid trucks to reduce 50% fuel in trucks and trains. It can be done now. No changes to power grids no building nuclear plants but now. 50% is not the answer long term but it's a great start and works in every rural area every day even in -40-50. Maybe things improve but betting on maybe has not done anything. Battery has got better but it isn't there but it is there for hybrid to work today 40-50% is way better than bs taxes set targets than are realistic.

Stop using it to mean both, and then saying that no one can do such a thing. Because when we say that we want a politician to "save" us, it's not that kind of saving that you jump to.
