Apologies, I should have covered this important piece of information. On Metamask click the top dropdown bar to see the list of networks, then right below the title word "Network" you'll see "show/hide test networks", click that. Then on the screen that opens up for advanced settings, toggle On for "show test networks", then close the options and now when you go to the Network page you'll see "Goerli Test Network" there as well as some other test networks. If the Goerli is not available, please go to Chainlist and connect your wallet to add it manually.
