Thank you very much for your detaily explanations.Today I've got same 1:25 ratio mixing bottle from local shop. However, I want to mix gasoline with oil at 1:20 ratio. How can I accomplish it? Is there any specific method? Thanks in advance.
Hi. It's my pleasure. On most of there bottles there will be 2x measurements on each side. If you look at the lines on the oil side there will be a higher line and lower line. Then at the top it'll say 20 ratio or 25. Alternatively you could just add another 1cm worth of oil in the oil side of the 25:1 ratio can.
@@EZR My bottle doesn't have 1:20 but has 1:25.In this case, while preparing mixture with respect to 1:25 I think I can add slightly more oil as you said.Thank you.🙂
okay so.. there is a guy somewhere on youtube saying this: "Make sure your not running 25:1. We all run 32:1 and us Racers are running 50:1 but that is with Amsoil Dominator 2 Cycle oil. These engines do not need a 25/24:1 Ratio. That is entirely way to much oil for these engines" but he runs 32:1 which is more oil right? same goes for 50:1? or am i doing a dumb dumb and not understand the ratio factor lol?
32:1 is less oil. 32 parts Fuel to 1 part oil. I would say 32:1 is the minimum. When we go Racing with a lean tune we actually run 20:1 Less oil does not give more performance, just makes your engine wear out faster.
I used 4ozs of oil for a gallon, it that bad o i have to add more or less oil? Cuz in the oil label say 5 oza for a 25:1 and thats what rovan recommends, but i use 4 ozs that i believe it is 32:1
@@hellsbells9169 we use 2x different oils. We use full synthetic, but the one is Castor based and the other Ester based. Castor is good for break in and Ester good for racing. We stock both in SA and it is Silkolene KR2 and Castrol Power1 2T.
Thank you so much! I had to click on a bunch of videos before I found yours which actually has a clear explanation.
Aaahh that's awesome man. I am so glad I could help. 👍
Finally a clear explanation on those bottles, Thanks!
It's my pleasure. Thank You for the support !
Actually so simple. Thanks Boet.
I think the biggest confusion is the ratio - 25:1 sounds like 25 ml oil to 1 litre of fuel. A BIG misconception.

What type of fuel no ethanol or 10% ethanol
We run 93 octane unleaded gasoline
Have you tried using SEF for your baja 5T? I have one myself and am curious if that will be alright.
No i haven't. Only run 100% synth Ester or Castor
What's best oil to use
Castor base is best but pretty pricey. We use Castrol Power1 Ester base and is best value for money.
Thank you brother 🫡👊🏾❤....just purchased a Rovan 1/5th scale
That's awesome! Rip it up!
Can you mix it normal and with the 2 cylce oil?
Good day. I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Can you maybe rephrase the question?

It helps to be reassured by the specialist 😂
Glad I can help. Anytime

Howzit bud. 4oz is bare minimum. I only run 5oz. It's not much more in price and offers better protection. Will not effect performance.
@EZR so I have to add a little more oil? A friend told me that it was running little rich on oil
When I believe I didn't use that much
A little more is recommended. 5oz to 1 gallon. If it's smokes too much then Close the High en needle 5min.
@@EZR Do you have any video that I could use as a reference about how to adjust the carburetor?
Thanks man!👍
Pleasure bud. Anytime
The Fuel It's Petrol Right??
Yes. These cars run best on 93 octane
Good info
⛽ Thank You Kenneth!
where can i buy it and whats the name of the fuel mixer?
The best fuel mixing bottle in my opinion is die King Motor one. It seals nicely where the Rovan one leaks.
I'm not too sure international but we stock these bottles in South Africa.
@@EZR thx i didnt thought u would awnser that quik
@@EZR and the oil?

What kind fuel is it
92 or 80?
And oil too i have 1/5 losi but i dont know what kind fuel uses
I prefer 93, but my home town only sells 95. So that's what I use. The Baja motors were designed for low octane. Closer to 90.
@@EZR oil is just fuel oil right? Example 0w20 or any oil
We use fully synthetic oil. Best is Castor base but will cost more and most used in the market is Esther base. Must be a 2stroke oil.
Good times
Braaaaaap! 🏎️
It changes a lot if I mix at 3 percent
3% is not enough for these engines. It wears out a lot sooner than necessary.
@@EZR where you got that bottle it's looks amazing
Hi, it is the stock mixing bottle that you get with your Baja. We sell them and I can say that the King Motor brand is superior.

Ihear 25:1 sucks cuz fouling. Most run 40:1
The minimum I will ever run is 32:1. Less oil does not mean more performance. Your engine will thank you
@@EZR oh okay! ill run 30:1 since i keep fouling my plugs as i like to run slightly rich
