Dear all Travis Hunter glazers, One:his schedule was easier than Jeanty’s schedule ( by far actually). There wasn’t an entire defense out to stop him and failed. Colorado had arguably a top 5 qb in all of cfb to throw to Hunter and pad his stats. Jeanty had to do a lot of it on his own.Jeanty worked with average to achieve greatness. Hunter had greatness to achieve greatness. It should be who worked the hardest and did best with what they had. Also, if the ball player argument about energy is a thing. Do you not realize how hard it is to get 30+ carries a game. The wear and tear is insane. Running backs prime is way shorter than any wr/cb because it’s so much harder.
The most average heisman performance I’ve ever seen. Devontae smith was crazy, burtrow, Caleb Williams, but the craziest part is that every rb who ever won the heisman, except Barry sanders, cannot even hail in comparison to jeanty. And he didn’t win the award. It’s a shame honestly.
@brockfonville682 He was playing heisman level FOR BOTH POSITIONS. Why are you so hard pressed to ignore the argument for hunter. It's not just about stats. They are incredible yard getters and dynamic runners. I I think AJ deserves it slightly more, but TH has a great case.
Travis Hunter 1. PLAYED BOTH WAYS majority of each game, 2. Travis Hunter impacted the outcome of each game on again- BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL. He outshined historically famous college athletes who played both ways ON LIMITED snaps who went on to become NFL Hall of Fame members. AJ played Running Back in The Mountain West Conference against lesser teams. What he did was outstanding as a RB, but again he did so in the Mountain West Conference, NOT the SEC, Big 12, ACC, or Big Ten against more credible opponents. Not to say he couldn’t, but he didn’t therefore you cannot compare him to the likes of Adrian Peterson, Barry Sanders, Tony Dorsett, or Mark Ingram. I feel the majority of the people complaining just dislike either 1. Deion Sanders, or 2. the way Boise State gets looked down upon despite being a great program because they don’t play in a bigger conference. Either way, AJ didn’t get robbed, perhaps if he could’ve, he should’ve played ST as a Returner (and returned several KO’s and PR’s for a TD so he could have an actual argument to be compared to Travis Hunters’ performance on the field. Just stating facts. Anyways good luck to the young man and I look forward to seeing him play again.
he had a qb that’s getting drafted first round. Nobody on boise getting drafted first round. Jeanty got 200 yards against #1 Oregon. It’s easier to play both ways against mediocre opponents who dont make you try as hard.
Are you really think Boise state is going to win the national championship? What are you smoking? I think there’s some people in your neighborhood that need your plug.
It's funny the same people saying Ashton Jeanty should've won are the same people that complain Texas, Penn State, and Indiana didn't play anyone and don't say anything about Boise playing Hawaii, Nevada, Wyoming, Utah State, Portland State, and UNLV, UNLV had one win against a team with a winning record.
Jeanty was nice af at RB but Travis played two positions and mastered both of them. Stop with all the hating man. Nobody in the history of college football mastered two positions and won awards for both of those positions as well.
If he mastered them he would be ranked #1 at both he hasn't mastered them and never will. His training is split he will never be #1 at either compared to those devoting ALL of their time to 1 of those positions. He also won't be doing this in the nfl. I'm willing to bet jeanty can play more than just RB but that's HIS position and it fking shows
@ 😂 you sound like a hater man. He is number 1 at both dummy. He won the award for best receiver and defensive player. Also he won the Heisman. Did Jeanty do that? Fuck no. He was just great in one position.
Travis may not have been the best corner or receiver, but he was the best college football player for the 2024 season and is what the Heisman is given to. So please stop saying he got robbed. If it had been a year without Travis, then Jeanty would have won, but unfortunately, for Jeanty, Travis Hunter played this year and won the Heisman.
My thing is Travis doesn't do that in the SEC... Travis doesn't do that in the BIG 12 so can we really call him the best? Every big game he either wae hurt or got hurt. He can play that way against weak competition but when the competition steps up he can't play like that.
How do you know that he wouldn't? He did it in high school then again in college. So what makes you believe he wouldn't have done the same in any conference? I have no doubt he could do the same if in the SEC.
@cajunfilipino6645 he couldn't against ucla, Kansas, arizona, Oregon he was hurt. Every big game he either is hurt or gets hurt in the sec he would be hurt every game.
And he still won. That shows you how good he is my friend. People need to stop complaining and crying about how others lost this year. It is finished so I've on. Travis was the best this year.
Exactly like what’s the point of playing the games if you can lose 1/3rd of the schedule to unranked opponents to still get the best player in the country

Ashton Jeanty BY FAR deserved the 2024 Heisman Trophy. The last time the Heisman Trophy winner was correct was in the year 2017 when Baker Mayfield won it. That’s 7 consecutive years the true mvp didn’t get the mvp award.

If you split Travis's stats between 2 people, neither one would even be in the conversation for the Heisman. So essentially the Heisman this year was an iron-man award. Stupid.
Travis Hunter got held to 17 yards, and 26 yard receiving games, and he couldn't even help his team win their own weak conference. 3 losses to unranked teams. That boy is ass-water! The Heisman trophy winner is a person who's talent level is so high, his level of play ELEVATES the level of play in his teammates. No other college football player has done that to the extent Ashton has this season. For as long as I can remember the winner also had their team in contention or in a major bowl game. It's obvious why they didn't invite Shedur Sanders to NY. If you have a finalist at QB, A two way player finalist why isn't that team in the playoffs. To avoid those questions they left Shedur at home. This voting was fixed. The voters need to quit and leave it up to the fans who watch the games and not up to people who have won cause even some of them didn't deserve it. In the end I'm glad Jeanty didn't win.

@Dimezprod heisman at both positions??😂😂 not even a top 5 wr or db
@Dimezprod actually, he wasn't playing Heisman level for both positions, he was just playing both really well.
The man DOMINATED on both sides of the ball ……. Please pipe it down
Travis Hunter 1.

Hunter played against 8 teams rated in the FPI top 50. Yes, Jeanty had a great game against Oregon. However, that was one game in September and everyone can tell today’s Oregon is not even close to the same as that Oregon. Travis played against significantly harder schedule and rarely left the field. Heisman got it right between the two.
