Wonderful review! Some of these terms have various meanings. "Stealth wealth" sometimes refers to a very wealthy person who wears Wrangler jeans and drives a Kia. Elon wears Tesla t-shirts and jeans. Hugely wealthy but dressed from Wal-Mart. The scent for stealth wealth would be Brut or Aqua Velva from Walgreens.
"Quiet luxury" is characterized by "you know it if you know it." The Celine fragrance definitely would qualify. Fragrances from Chanel Exclusifs and Dior Privee would be quiet luxury. Quiet luxury is Bezos wearing t-shirts, but they are $400 custom made t-shirts. No branding or almost no branding.
But with billionaires - the top 1% of the top 1%. - they can go to a niche fragrance maker and have a fragrance made literally just for them.
Old money - does any brand convey old money better than Ralph Lauren, and most especially Polo Green?
Let me tell youuuu I worked at a hotel where wealthy people stayed and one day this man walked down the lobby, and I kid you not the smell he had bought knocked me out! It was breathtaking! Most beautiful scent I have ever smelled this far and I knew INSTANTLY it was something expensive and that that guy had MONEY MONEY. I waited until he walked by a 2nd time and I stopped him and asked him to PLEASE tell me what he was wearing and he pulled the bottle out of his bag he had with him and it was Creed Royal Oud. To this day I have not gotten that wealthy beautiful scent out of my mind. If you ever get the chance to smell that PLEASE DO! 🤑🤑🤑🤑
That’s a good one. Creed is a brand that really captures that aesthetic. Their prices also reflect that though 😂
