Virtuoso is piece of shite. I'm yet to try anything else, but the sounds is so bad I cant even describe how much I'm dissappointed with it. My cheap headset for 20 bucks produced much better sounds. How can this even be considered a premium class gaming headset it's straight piece of shit.
It's crazy how few good wireless headset are there in 2021. Feels like nothing has changed over the past 2 years. Corsair Virtuoso is still the best but not perfect and there isn't that much competition. I've been looking for a new headset for quite a long time. I would like to get SteelSeries Arctis headset but the mics are bad. Corsair's headsets are expensive, kinda heavy and not as comfortable as SteelSeries'. Don't wanna buy Razer's headsets anymore since my last headset and mouse from Razer broke. Wireless headset would be cool but it's looking like I need to get atleast one more wired one or just headphones + mic & stand...
A separate head phone and mic will always be better than a headset. I own the virtuoso xt, and while it is worth it for me functionality wise, I wouldn't advice it for people who live in tropical countries relying only on electric fans. The earcups can get steamy. Microphone included is an omnidirectional one and not a unidirectional, that's a negative for me since I have 2 sun conures (pretty noisy birds). But the sounds... for music and gaming, it is superb in its class.
