For me it started in 1973 with the recordings on vinyl of Loudon Wainwright - little later the McGarrigle's followed. They all are important to me, musically, the lyrics, The Feel!! The people they gather around them and perform !
Move over, Bob Seger! Thank you so much to whomever, for finding this and putting it online! Digging the 80s acrylic tape jobs on the guitar and drum set! Takes me back! LOL!
This is the stuff, I've always had a preference for Anna's voice, but love the interplay here, and beautiful New Brunswick/New Orleans lilt to the instrumentals.
@@larciabella I saw all three sisters headline at a WNEW-FM raadio station sponsored show @1985 at NYC's Beacon Theater. Suzanne Vega/first album, Janis Ian, and Maria Muldaur opened.
Could anyone help me with this: Joan Baez is supposed to have commented quite UNkind in her biography of 1988 on her cooperation with the McGarrigle Sisters - the book has no Index. Does anyone know the details ?
Christ, even when singing "Happy Birthday" they harmonise beautifully...
so many great artists played Red Creek!! xox

What I love is that happened just around the corner of my wish.

Oh, les sœurs, vous ne saurez jamais combien vous avez accompagné ma vie.
