CRUISE 5 with LEVI NYONDO LIVINGSTONIA SYNOD GENERAL SECRETARY

By any definition, Reverend Levi Njombole Nyondo is a controversial man. He does not shy away from controversy, criticizing politicians, senior government officials, traditional leaders and even fellow church ministers. He once spent time in Police custody after being arrested during the Bingu wa Mutharika era, but he says they made their peace before the former president died. He says it is alright for church ministers to speak to power and reprimand errant politicians, controversially adding that even Jesus was practicing politics.
Other than that, he is a simple and laid back gentleman who grew up in the comfort of the rolling hills in Chitipa and spent his childhood trying to raise some little money for his family and education. He clearly didn't have an easy life growing up but has now made it.
