Ray, I somewhat agree with you, but this one definitely has more modern appeal; I have both. However, they have been released months apart. The original version is designed for Caribbean appeal, and this version (the second version) is designed for international appeal. THE ORIGINAL VERSION IS ACTUALLY ON THIS CHANNEL. I JUST SAW IT HERE. However, by the time this version came out, the other version was already a big hit in NYC, Florida, and Atlanta (these are the places that I know for a fact because I do the Caribbean party scene in those states); I can't speak for the other Caribbean party scenes.
Hold the Wood! This single version is quite exciting and dense, but I actually prefer the album version. I love the clarity in the music and mix in the album version. This version definitely has more drive. However, I feel like the album version emphasizes the story instead of the dance aspect of the song.
