thank you takamine factory you are best i have one gc1ce blk I bought it for $ 925 because of Iran's international sanctions, which is also second-hand, but I would like to thank the Takamine staff again.
hi Brad, how about bringing over some of Takamines hi end guitars back to the states.... Takamine used to have exceptional master luthier made guitars and you cant get them here anymore yet they are still sold overseas
@@BradleyJohnson13 I have a Nashville TNV series from 2003, after hundreds of gigs its in bad shape. I am looking for a replacement for it but theres nothing even close in terms of materials offered from Takamine that I can buy in the states. Do you have an estimated timeline of when this might happen? If its much longer I'm just gonna have to find another used TNV, and even that is near impossible because people dont sell them.
I own two Japanese made Taks and I'd put both up against anything else out there at twice the price. Probably the best value in acoustic guitars on the planet. If you're looking at Martin, Taylor, or Gibson acoustics you really owe it to yourself to check out Takamine. There is a good reason you see so many pros playing them :)
You are 100% correct on all counts. I bought 3 different Japanese Takamine's brand new, throughout the 90's. The tone, resonance, playability, and outstanding craftsmanship on all 3 are 2nd to none.
hi brad..would you be kind enough to give us the list of the soundtracks and artists especially the second song.. awesome video and music by the way..thanks!
I would like to know what are the requirements to be able to work in one of your factories?? I love guitars and like many I would also like to know how to take care of them and build them: any advice???
I've just brought a takamine GD90 CE I had the spacers taken out of the saddle to lower the action but now have a 14th fret on the high E string that does not ring out what is the problem please Colin UK 🇬🇧 😊
I have a g series made in China. have owned it for 11 years now and not one issue with the quality of workmanship. Not a high-end Japanese made guitar, but very playable, quality sound at an affordable price. The tonewoods and tuning machines and electronics would be much higher quality from the Japan factory, but for my purposes and budget, it plays well, sounds great and has been totally reliable. I have six guitars and my Tak is the one I enjoy playing the most…
No. The quality of the Japanese luthiers is unsurpassed. But the Chinese luthiers under strict guidance of Takamine, Yamaha, etc, are doing really great work for the price nowadays. I bought 3 different Japanese Takamine's throughout the 90's. Their craftsmanship is 2nd to none.
D. Man. The g series are usually made in Korea or China their like the lower end takamine guitars the higher end ones are the hand crafted ones made in Japan those usually go for $1300 and up
@@netothebarber6807 thanks for letting me know I paid $150 for it new is that about right ? It's my first guitar I just turned 56 just something to learn to play hopefully I'll learn soon
Probably not because 2000$ guitar and 350$ guitar wont be produced in the same manner, with same materials and precision. In Chinese factory you probably wont find a 2 million dollar CNC machine for that crazy fretboard inlays, because they don't need one. But i guess the overall approach is pretty much the same. Price rules all of the aspects.
