I always thought of the edm era as a sort of renaissance for music. Suddenly music production software was available to anyone who had a couple hundred dollars and a laptop, and anyone could publish / “get signed” by just sharing on UA-cam, so talent that would have otherwise been undiscovered was able to flourish and we got literally thousands of songs with unique styles and emotion. What a time to live through.
Yeah; from before the big-corporate-oligarchy got ahold of it, the same greed-fossils who find every new awesome art form and stomp it into cookie-cutter meatgrinder sameness for the sake of their ever-expanding profit margins.

Hello from 2018! Au5 left the label over two years ago, but is still making absolutely mesmerizing music. Meanwhile on Monstercat, the crappy riddim revolution continues on, with a few notable exceptions.

I love how some youtubers can come in and just nitpick at a song that they apparently like. Dont compare one song with another song. Each song is its own unique piece of music. It doesn't need to be changed or altered to suit one paticular persons taste, it is what it is. The lyrics doesn't have to be a shakespearean transcript. I love the music and I love the lyrics.

I still have a special place in my heart for good ol'TwoThirds, but yeah...my top song on my MC playlist pretty much changes weekly. This week Stephen Walking was on the top, next week it will probably be Pegboard Nerds or Au5 and Fractal, or I don't know whatever I'm feeling. There really isn't a single MC song I don't like, honestly.
Returning to Snowblind & seeing how long it has been since release will always surprise me. I simply admire this unique style of production which is undoubtedly Au5; and even in the capable hands of the most talented producers, I struggle to imagine someone creating a mix which surpasses this Au5 perfection. Honestly, I could understand someone finding the drops intimidating, especially as they're such a juxtaposition from the subtle, inviting off-drop. But it's that juxtaposition which empowers the entire track, and especially the vibrant tenacity coming from the gorgeous melody in the last third of the drops. To me, Snowblind is simply this perfect blend in which takes advantage of numerous dubstep qualities to deliver a timeless & blissful experience - and this all goes without mentioning Tasha's extraordinary vocal performance as well. To anyone interested, please take the time to listen to more Au5 as it's all bliss.
This a great example how a good dubstep track looks like, not too much repetitiveness, not too much wobbliness and has a mood and melody with good start and end

Im sooo glad hes getting all the exposure he deserves. The combination of UKF and MC is gonna get this song to #1 on Beatport dubstep charts, and will give him overall more followers on SC. Not to mention that the song is a complete MASTERPIECE. Tasha's vocals were above average, but they really cant be compared to Dankya's vocals in Real Love or Follow You. The trancestep mix-genre flowed beautifully with the vocals, and the second drop really brought out his old style, which ive missed so much. I LOVE this song

This was my favorite song back in 2014 and it still is 6 years later.
Returning to Snowblind & seeing how long it has been since release will always surprise me. I simply admire this unique style of production which is undoubtedly Au5; and even in the capable hands of the most talented producers, I struggle to imagine someone creating a mix which surpasses this Au5 perfection.
Honestly, I could understand someone finding the drops intimidating, especially as they're such a juxtaposition from the subtle, inviting off-drop. But it's that juxtaposition which empowers the entire track, and especially the vibrant tenacity coming from the gorgeous melody in the last third of the drops. To me, Snowblind is simply this perfect blend in which takes advantage of numerous dubstep qualities to deliver a timeless & blissful experience - and this all goes without mentioning Tasha's extraordinary vocal performance as well.
To anyone interested, please take the time to listen to more Au5 as it's all bliss.

This a great example how a good dubstep track looks like, not too much repetitiveness, not too much wobbliness and has a mood and melody with good start and end

I was there when this song was First released and it's still on the list of my favorite songs to this day. Ever since I heard this song AU5 has been my favorite producer. I saw him live for the first time at my first music festival 2 months ago.

Im sooo glad hes getting all the exposure he deserves. The combination of UKF and MC is gonna get this song to #1 on Beatport dubstep charts, and will give him overall more followers on SC. Not to mention that the song is a complete MASTERPIECE. Tasha's vocals were above average, but they really cant be compared to Dankya's vocals in Real Love or Follow You. The trancestep mix-genre flowed beautifully with the vocals, and the second drop really brought out his old style, which ive missed so much. I LOVE this song
