Excellent video .
would like to see some more with a specific train model furnace if you can.
Thanks, i'm looking forward to more like this.
I remember when we got a new furnace in 2019 going from a traditional 80% furnace that we had for 20 years to a 98.5% variable capacity, furnace, furnace is night and day. Variable speed blower motor and a variable speed draft inducer. This thing is silent. Even when it’s doing a schedule transition, I still can’t hear this thing run and once a year, I do a full call from a cold temperature in the morning to a really high temperature just to get it to stretch its legs to blow the cobwebs and the dust out for our first run of the year. Then I let it do it. It’s normal thing.
My neighbor's furnace is in his attic on its side a tree fell on his house ruined his furnace when it got rained on he wanted me to install a new gas furnace for him but since i'm not a licensed plumber i couldn't do that only plumbing iv done was industrial plumbing on pipe lines and chillers.
would like to see videos on electric heat systems.......
Great video!!
They got 3 different types of furnace heat pump, electric heat and gas some states use oil burner furnaces'.
Thanks for the extensive explanation.
1 question if I can > is the furnace able to run either on NFG or PROPANE interchangeably?
Not interchangeably but they make conversion kits that are pretty easy to use. Basically the kit has new orifices, a spring for the gas valve, and and pressure switch in case the propane tank gets low
@@diyhvacguy Hi i think some come with a conversion kit.
Another excellent video for the layman. Much appreciated. I have a high efficiency furnace. Have you done a video on what would be “annual tune up”. Or is this just one of those contractor money grabs?
Can you show us a older style hvac vs newer. I have a one year old unit that prob designed 20 yrs ago. Gas heat idk where. With said heat pump but total ac outside. I believe it was 1.5 ton unit but there’s a heavy venting that I can’t see if it’s really vent into house. You prob have enough overall to do this video in previously and just splice together with new speak over
Hi I have a question. The house I live in is a 2 storied building with an unfinished basement. The furnace is in the basement. Even though we set the temprature at 22° C. The rooms at the second floor barely reach 20°. Can you please tell me what could be the problem.
Blueridge ain't horrible, just a rebadged basic lennox model. But how about getting parts? I get called to alot of jobs with diy stuff and I don't have any resources to call for parts. Usually it's for the damn unit heaters, but still. Then I have angry customers that if they bought from my company, they'd also #1 be covered under warranty and #2 parts are available.
Forced air is so bad for your lungs .
LOL!
Why, man? In my good insulated house it runs as few as 70 minutes a day. What could be harmful? Fiberglass?
Filtered forced air is clean air
I got a gas forced air but i use a good filter and never had any problems the furnace is 1977 is a Rheem and still works but i clean my own furnace every year.
