  • The Shimanami Kaido cycle across Japan's Inland Sea is Incredible. To be honest you have to do it for your self to really feel how incredible it is. Even if it kills you for the next two days, you will not regret it. Even though it was really tough in the scorching hot temperatures, I decided on the bus back to Onomichi that I would come back here soon to cycle again.
    Besides that, if you ever come make sure to wear cycling pants Tommy regretted not wearing any.

    Great video. Love your drone shots and the factual information you included about the bridges. 👌 Planning to do this cycle.

    Really great video! I'll be doing this next week. It's the first video I saw about getting the bus back. Thank you!

    Very well done gentlemen, good for you!
    But I felt bad for Tommy, as his seat was waaay to low,
    not allowing him optimal leg extension per pedal stroke
    (sorry, "old" cyclist here), just a note for the future.

      And I wore cycling pants (cushioned pants) but he had nothing to protect his butt but a towel. He had a hard time 😅

    I've done this and it was fantastic! I recommend renting a bike from the Giant shop if you want a performance road bike. But the the main bike station has a lot of options for a lot cheaper.

      Recently, there has been a boom in bicycling tourism so it's good to see that you're making content around this particular topic.

    Did you guys put your bikes on the bus? I will be doing this at the end of June. I know its going to be hot. I also will tour Shikoku for 2 weeks of camping. Was there any camping on any of these 6 islands? Thanks.

    I'm planning on doing this, how far is it from where you return the bike to the bus, and what time does the bus leave?

    • @JeremyExplores
      @JeremyExplores  2 роки тому

      I returned the bike in front of the station and the bus left from the station too. Technically to answer the question it would be 30 seconds. Our bus left around 5:30 PM. I believe there was a bus every hour or two. We got on the bus bound for Fukuyama and transferred at Innoshima to get on the bus for Onomichi. All of this, we learned by asked the information counter at Imabari station.
      Thanks for asking 👍
