Making it harder to fix
first step,disconnect the battery,because many lines are always hot.second,just buy a proper(not the chaepo type for safety reasons) universal laptop multi charger with many kinds of connectors,and have it your arsenal for testing and using whatever laptop you get your hands on.

Hey Phil how about a Video Fixing a Ebike Battery? They Expensive asf and sometimes they have only a Small Isssue.
To be honest given the dangers with them I don't think I'd want to risk that. I do have an ebike though so if I come across a battery for it faulty I'll pick it up :)
I'm not down with "breaking one to fix one", Phil. I would have rather had it end at searching for the right ports. They MUST be available.
I agree buddy, me neither. I did look but didn't find actual replacements until I bought the other board. It's OK though I'll buy some ports and fix the other board back up ;)
I get laptops and other computer hardware out of a dumpster most of the time.

I found one of those 360 touchscreen hp's on the skip a couple of models up from the one in the video, its an 8th gen i5 8gb of ram and 128 m.2 ssd nothing wrong with it at all.

I’m wondering if you would like my Xbox one s it randomly stopped working after I stopped playing on it. I think it is a hard drive issue because I was able to play games and it could crash about 20 seconds later. Now the Xbox logo flashes twice and turns off. If you would like it I can give you more information just reply to this with a platform I can private message you on.
Phil, I’ve got one for you buddy. It’s driving me mad. Xbox series X powers on for about 30 seconds then off. Even in safe mode. It’s Not PSU

I Have a PS5 (roughly 2.5 years old) That is popping the fuse in the mains plug.... I think it's overheating....
I have removed the covers and the main fan and cleaned as much dust as I can, but the heat sinks are pretty clogged up
and I do not have the competence to take it apart as I may cause damage or not be able to put it back together correctly.....
I would imagine the liquid metal may need refreshing... Console operates in upright / standing orientation...
What would be my best option and rough cost? I'm on universal credit so don't have a lot of funds to spare.

you can run a script off a website and it will remove alot of the bloatware from windows 11. Even still windows 11 is garbage.

I recently took my faulty Asus Tuf Gaming laptop in for repair,and apart from them replacing the screen,they couldn't fix it.They didn't charge me at all! Thankuly I salvaged the SSD drive

Can you upgrade CPU as well there ?
If its anything like my HP Elitebook its going to be a no no - they are soldered to the board like Apple does.
CPUs on laptops haven't been upgradable since 2014. Even back then, 95% of machines had a soldered down CPU.
You can but it isn't easy. As already said they're soldered so I'd have to desolder the old one and solder a new one on
It's why I still use a 2012 Laptop as my main (I shouldn't but I love the upgradability)
