Yes,Thank you for finally (in my end at least) putting out this very important information to the puBLic. This will have a real positive output to those who may find interest on Computer Software and their resources. And i think what is more eye opening with this is for those people who have contributed and dedicated their coding life for they may had foreseen its impact or it's real value for the PuBLic.And it's only good to give them the appreciation mostly unpaid others may had died...Honoring their Contributions is a Must.
I'd personally avoid using any component with a GPLV3 license, I don't want to share any code which is part of IP - I'd rather build a component from scratch or even purchase a commercial license for a similar product than deal with the hassle of using an open source component because it's FREE.
Lets say your friend wanted to play with your toy car. Here's what 4 open-source licenses state: LGPL "Sure, just make sure he returns it, ok?" BSD "Sure thing kiddo!" WTFPL "Whatever kid, get out of my face." GNU GPL *"Well actually my name isn't 'Dad,' it's 'GNU/Dad,' anyways, he can only borrow your car if you sign this contract that permits anyone can take his toys whenever they want and don't olay with Melissa Gates down the road because..."*

that's kind of the point. why should you get to use my software for free and make money off it with no benefit to me or my community?

you can always move from right to left but not the other way round... same goes for political views
