- I travel from one river system to a smaller creek and try my luck at catching mud crabs and sand crabs (aka Blue Swimmers). I fish with lures and cook up a delicious crab dinner on the boat. Which is anchored half way up a river right next to an exposed sand bar.

The croc did put me off a bit, I’m hoping to go after some nice rain.
Yum!! We have a blue crab here on the Florida Gulf Coast we use in Gumbo. May look into doing that next time you get them. Or you can use any seafood really. Shrimp and oysters or all!! Hooohoo! Thanks for sharing Andy!

For me the banana thing came from ice fishing if you ever went ice fishing and brought a banana it would be Brown by the time you got out there as well as on Open Water you run into the chance of them getting very bruised bruised

Hi Andy I see you have a Garmin sounder holder on the port side of your dash (empty in this Vid ) I have one the same but mine shuts off each time I hit a bit of chop when travelling I don't know if its volt drop, bad connection wiring or bad connection holder good sounder when I can keep it on Keep up the good work love the vids and cook ups. Hi Andy, turns out those stone crabs in the beginning are edible, they're scientific name is Myomenippe Fornasinii, common name the smooth stone crab. Its not really a commercial species but its good eatin'. Hope this comment proves useful 😁😁😁
Thanks for the info, although, these ones have a pattern on the shell, they are not completely smooth.
The pattern is actually common in the myomenippe family of stone crabs.

Hi mate. Absolutely love your videos. What are the soft plastics and hook types you use when catching all those fish? Whenever I use lures or soft plastics I never have much luck. Any tips would be much appreciated.

Undulations. Question, i grew up watching rex hunt, all he used to catch was thredfin salmon brim leather jackets and flat heads, why is it all the fishing shows i watch in Oz these days no one is catching those species?
Threadfins are a lot harder to come by these days - Especially where Andy’s fishing, they’ve just phased out all gillnetting of creeks in qld so hopefully that’s about to change 🙏🏽
It would be amazing if gill nets are outlawed, but at low tide, you can still stagger a creek mouth and essentially net the whole flow, very sad.
Island hopper is on the money, too many pro nets selling fish for a fraction of their worth, much of which goes to cat food, vegetarians with cats do more harm than people who eat a fish once a week.

A 2.8 tone boat near a sand bar in a crocodile river with a 0.7m lower tide that night.

Don't crack the crab with your teeth, I met a young bloke in hospital who got a perf gut from doing that, some small shards went down with a mouthful of crab, and he ended up on the chopping block, he had two arseholes for awhile, one had a bag attached till his gut healed. so please don't do it, we need you to keep making vids.
