I bought the elastic cord and the Rainbow Loom rubber bands from my local fabric store - if you don't have a store in your area, you can get those supplies from many online sources.
I link to US suppliers because that's where I am - if you're in another country you can probably purchase supplies from these companies, or you can look for a local supplier to save on shipping costs.
Thanks for watching and I hope you make some cool items!

You're welcome Iris - thank you for the compliment!
Thanks for sharing love you tips you’ve add in. Never thought to use elastic as a connecting loop before. I’ll eventually be teaching paper beads jewelry-to the elder and I believe this will be easier that using pliers and jump rings.
You're welcome Karen! :)
Great Video! Thank you for sharing John. 😉
Hi John, you have give me some very good ideas, i am going to try some of them
Hi Edmy - I hope you have as much fun exploring ideas as I did. :)
All you have to do is place the cord in BEFORE sewing the flap down like when you staple. The cord can be inserted under the first stitch. That will be faster and easier.
I like this idea! Especially the clasps and chain add-ons.
thank you Gayle - glad you like the tutorial! :)
I am sold ,love them all :) great video
Thanks Carmen!
I tried it on leather right now and it worked
I don't know what else to suggest Yvonne - it works fine for me.
The only issue I've had is there may be a thread or two still connecting the denim - if that occurs I just rotate the punch and press it again. Have you tried it with other types of denim? I've punched all types, but maybe the kind you're using is especially tough or has an unusual thread type like polyester or nylon.
I'm sorry you're having issues and I'd love to help, but as I haven't experienced what you're experiencing I'm not sure what advice I can offer. You might also try holding the handles of the punch closer to their ends to get more leverage.
great john thx fr this video 😊👏👍
OMG, love Them all

Just a thought you might try leaving the cord long then tie it before you cut it.
I usually do but I was running out of cord and I didn't want to have to stop making stuff to get more.
Thanks for the suggestion though!
Thank you for your tutorial

Hey...john very nice video. I will try to make something nd yes i will give u one advice if u don't mind..ur video is so long try to make a short video becz sometimes it feels boring nd yeah i enjoyed ur video nd make more video's
I'm glad you're enjoying my video. As far as the length goes - I basically explore all the ideas I can come up with using certain components and include them in one video.
I think of the videos more as courses based upon one idea which include many variations. In order to keep everything in one location I place all variations in one vid rather than break them up - the idea is that if you have a bunch of components (like belt loops) in front of you, you can use the one vid to choose what you'd like to make rather than jump around from vid to vid.
If you like, you can jump to each technique by clicking the links in the info area and you won't have to watch the whole thing.
* Have fun making stuff!
U r really awesome man u know as very well how to talk i ever seen this type of Chanel. U describe very well dear i like it.😊
I bought a leather punch but it does not punch he hole, why?
If your punch looks like mine it should punch through - especially if it's new. Mine is about 15 years old so it's pretty dull. I'm not sure what I could recommend to help you out except to press harder and check the alignment (make sure the punch is directly above the little disc it presses on). It seems to take less effort to punch through the loops than it does to punch through a leather belt so it should work.
Also - I'm not sure if you're pressing through two layers of denim - if you are, try punching them one at a time.
I hope these suggestions help.
👍🏼
...and Very Handsome Hands!😉
Don't make me blush! :o
