  • The V4 drill has been around a long time. Usually XC instructors and coaches use the V4 to help skiers gain balance when learning to V2. However, I've got a slightly different take on the drill that even expert skiers should incorporate into their technique training. I like to use the V4 drill for three primary reasons: to get over the ski, to get tall and set-up for a powerful double-pole position and to coordinate the leg push-off with the pole push-off. Let me know what you think.

Hello, I have a question about xc ski bindings. How does one know when to adjust their bindings?
I purchased a set of Fischer Spider 62's and wondering if my bindings are in the correct setting? The bindings on my ski are all the way forward. Is this a proper setting?
    Thanks!

I assume you mean the "-3, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2, +3" settings. Back for more glide. Forward for more kick. Use your best judgement based on conditions.
