The Planet of Urilia is a Desert-water based planet, with large islands dotting its-previously peaceful landscape. As of late the farm-world has been under attack by arachnids, which some theorize were placed here by an unknown source. But that doesn't matter now, as your ship has been called in to resecure the small peninsula known as "Ecrin." The Commander of the nearby base has made the mistake of not routeing the arachnid colonys when he should have, and now it's down to You and your trusted troopers to take down the threat!

I was waiting to see your reaction to the new reinforce ability. I knew straight away that you wouldn't like it. 😂 It was definitely changed to a tile/grid system intentional to reduce the over use of the ability in small areas.
There have been a lot of great changes made in this update with the animations and weapon changes. Some of these changes broke features in SICON, mainly the dropsites cannot be attached to radio posts in game.
You may have to swap back to the base version, I haven't tested it with the Open Beta version. (Edit: SICON appears to be working with both the base and the Open Beta)

The only reason I can think for the Mk2 nerf is they're adding the morita mk3 troopers either in the next DLC or in a upcoming patch. Only reason I can think of

I thought it was because the next dlc was urban so it would work better with city streets
