You do realize Wharton offers an EMBA, and the average class is smaller and the average GMAT of accepted candidates is higher. It’s also the same 2 year long program and actually includes *more* credit hours to finish vs their MBA program. Also most who join are already high up in leadership.

Or just wanted to get one because anyone that can borrow money can have one…was mine worth it….i am using it to start and maintain a business so maybe we will see…I just want to build up my company and sell it…go back and get PHD from an ivy and write a book plus teach a bit. That sounds like a nice life.

From a guy who worked as an executive chef, assistant general manager in hotels and got an MBA to do a career change. It is very challenging to pivot into that said new career change. You can make good money before MBA but for me even with 16+ years of management experience and trying to do something in the finance world or even as an analyst at entry level is near impossible right now.

I’m being told I’m over qualified because I have an MBA and have had only 3 interviews out of the 300 applications I’ve put out. Pretty wild.

Always learn extra skill I recommend 2 3 extra skill like learn different languages. Job market is not stable on a matter of time you will be replace or laid off nothing is fair. Always learning to do different stuffs.
I'm a 2nd yr ug, tryna figure out if I should do direct mba without work ex. or get into business analytics job/internships. I'm learning spanish, advance excel etc. It'd be great if y'all have any suggestions?
Getting a business started and taking MBA classes but it ends up scaling so quickly that you have to redo your schedule and travel for the job but it’s more than you ever had hoped to do by 30 😅 not humble bragging but nothing went right until this year. Actually it is more dependent on you rather than your MBA or business school.... you can tank your career even from a top school but you can also do amazing even from a low-ranked one... at least in the US.

@@gmatclubnot in India. Considering you're from a "gmatclub", might work for you because abroad colleges don't provide placements but it's not the case with India. So every CAT aspirant or any other omet aspirants income depends on college.
I think MBA programs understand that and therefore they don't admit applicants without work experience to their programs (at least US and European programs) :-)
Ppl complain but u make your knowledge and your degree work for you. I'm not about to pursue a master's in a particular degree just to be paid minimal. Your place of employment should reimburse you.

Reality will be disappointing until you gain experience especially for freshers from tire 2 colleges. But its never gonna be same forever. Gain experience keep improving your skills mainly learn the skills that are in high demand, within 2 or 3 years you will end up in a good position and high salary. I have seen my seniors who didn't perform well in college but landed on a good a job that too with good salary. It is all in our mind😌
