I love a feel good Pez song. Because he's one of the few rappers that can pull it off so well. But nah. We didn't need this. Which begs the question why does it even exist. Like why did this need a video. While songs like 'Real Life' sit on the shelf. Pez is way better than this bs. Than adult-contemporary rap 🤦♂️ I'd rather hear and see extended, polished finishes and videos to nearly all of his freestyle and featured verses from the last decade over this heap of no replay-value. And that's not to knock the song. Like 'Don't Look Down' it teems with talent. It's catchy, fun, well written, and rapped. The rhymes, schemes and flow are excellent and better than the majority of what is out there. This is apex Pez for sure. He shined all over this sht (as did Eso, go listen to his highly underrated solo album 'My Astral Plane'). But hopefully this is the last of Pez dedicating himself so heavily to the subject that is his daddy status 🤦♂️ unless it's either peppered in songs in the context of his struggles and triumphs as a person and human of contemporary times, or if it's a one-off in an album like the song he made commemorating his grandmother. Because, again, he's way too good and valuable a talent and ambassador of his generation of thought to waste it on such relatively trivial topics as the parental perspective. Mashed into a video with the look and feel of a toys r us commercial. ..
