Here is a little bit more about the Lucia Festival in "Little Sweden" town of Lindsborg Kansas: / Events / Christmas in Lindsborg / St. Lucia Festival St. Lucia Festival Second Saturday each December. Saturday, December 10, 2022 (Another part:) Lindsborg’s traditional festival will be celebrated on Saturday, December 10th. The Lindsborg Swedish Folk Dancers will host the festival event by providing Swedish folk dancing performances downtown and on the Bethany Lutheran Church lawn. A church service honoring Saint Lucia will also take place with Lucia serving ginger cookies and coffee among the crowd. Hello Ellen! Welcome to the USA and Kansas. I hope that you will have a very nice school year. I like to welcome Swedes to American especially Southwest Kansas, as I can tell them about things to do around here, but with you in Kansas City, I do not know much about KC. There is a Professional Baseball team and Football team in KC, but prices maybe high. About maybe 4 hours from Kansas City is the "Little Sweden" town called Lindsborg, Kansas. They celebrate Swedish types events like Lucia around December 13th (but often pick the weekend just before that date). I could tell you more if you might be interested. They also do mid Summer Fest around the third weekend in June (but you will miss this one most likely unless you are staying until almost the end of June).
