Such a beautifully told story about how to make the buildings not only attractive but also meaningful for the society. Pleasure to listen and watch.

So humbling to believe that David is afraid he's losing the audience, his work is so captivating on its own

Quite pristine and moral speech, Im a big admirer of his buildings but I belive he outlines the problem without a specific source. Architects are not supposed to change the economic systems related to architecture, they rather should respond effectively to the constantly changes around the cities integrating sustainability and public space

Architecture as a profession has a severe case of saviour delusion. For more than twenty years now they all tell the same speech, and each one acts as if no one else is saying it. Environment and social justice, we get it. Now how about talking at least 10 seconds about the hardware? After all, chipperfield is an expert designer of builders, not an expert sociologist, or anthropologist, or social scientist of any kind.

I have no respect for this man or for the pseudo-intellectuals who endorse him! He did a *terrible* job with the _Neues Museum_ ! The Stüler building used to be one of the wonders of Old Berlin (i.e. before WW2 left it in ruins). But instead of paying homage to the genius of Friedrich August Stüler, Mr. Chipperfield chose to bestow posterity with yet another reconstruction with the grace and splendour of a _public toilet_ - i.e. a generic style of re-build that has been plaguing post war Germany for decades ... And yet, Chipperfield somehow managed to add insult to injury by adding some arcades that look like something from the pen of Hitler's favourite architect, Albert Speer! ‒ Therefore, I am glad to say hat the good people of my home city of Stockholm had sense enough to sack this serial botcher, before he managed to destroy our inner city with his monstrosity of a Nobel Museum!

rich kid, rich man, works in a rich city - doesn't understand how the ungrateful poor people can want to leave the EU which has presided over the demolition of their industry, income and well-being. Out of touch ... design your beautiful interventions in Museums ...... its what you understand.
