Never Never Never hold the kicker! As someone who has been playing video poker since the 80s holding the kicker keeps you from getting the card you need. Plus there are still 11 other kickers still available for that hand! You will learn. Take care!
What is the general strategy for video poker for someone that wants to try them out? Is it the same as the table game variant?
It’s amazing how many of these supposed “ pros “ hold the friggn kicker. It’s literally the worst play there is.
@@BAND-MAID-USA Well... the amount of money he wins, suggests he is a pro and not a "supposed" one. (and he did say that he isn't a "pro" at Triple Double, so asked us to tell him what the correct play is there. We all know that this isn't his normal game)
Still a bad play holding the kicker though... but sometimes it's worth trying- just to break a bad streak.

Mathematically on super triple bonus i wouldve thrown that kicker away and gave myself 3 extra tries to hit that elusive Ace.

If four aces with a kicker were to pay 4000 then keeping 3 aces with a kicker is played like four to the royal, right?

Nice wins!! Yea, I wouldn't have held that kicker. I'd rather have three more chances at an A. And so often, the first card out on the draw is a kicker card. I've dropped a kicker and gotten one back.

I just want to say your channel really inspired me since I came across it before covid started for all of us. Since then I’ve been practicing and implementing your strategy and techniques to be successful in this game.

It's painful to fight through these natural downturns. It sometimes breaks the will and wallet of the participants. Losing a house, family, and your self respect is not an option.
For me it would depend on how I was doing on the game,guess I would not hold the kicker,I am one to want to build up the bank roll for the next chance for the big hand.

Me personally, always hold the kicker when dealt three Aces w/kicker, have had great success with it!

Without looking at a VP calculator, my gut says that triple double 3 aces and kicker draw, you don't hold kicker because the aces without kicker are worth double, and ur halving ur chances of getting one by holding kicker, and u still have chance of getting kicker anyways. ill go look it up now lol.

its a double double bonus pay table for aces just doubled so you don't hold the kicker for sure. now the 2 3 4's on the triple double version you would just like you hold the kicker on with jacks queens and kings on the version of that game where they pay 1600 with kicker.. Nice session sir. i just did 2 days at Caesars with not one dealt 3 aces.. and playing all triple double hahaha bad trip...

The other I don’t do is switch games like you Do! If you’re playing Aces stay with Aces! If I was going to play Deuces I would play on the machine next to me which is what we did all the time

I always balk at playing deuces wild because almost inevitably you get dealt for aces like you did or you get a natural four of a kind and it drives me crazy!!!!!

Depends on my mood or how far ahead ... I've hit numerous times holding the kicker + 3 special cards but I normally like to play safe and just hold the 3.
I’ll go for a play or two that I know is wrong like a suited K10 over a high card hold sometimes if it’s close. I’ve had two $40k royals on k10 while giving up maybe a few hundred $$$’s EV lifetime doing it

My gut says hold AAA. However, a quick visit to the WOO analysis tool will allow you to know the answer. Ideally, you do this research BEFORE you play. Why rely on guessing the right play on the fly when the prep work is so easy.

i have been playing jacks or better most of the time and i just realized im way more likely to get four of a kind than a royal. im going to play triple from now on
