007 in the woods 😂. What a beautiful area to fish! Nice seeing you guys get on the smallies!!! Have to love the fight on these guys!! Nice switch up to the topwater 👍 Great blowup on the big one….love the excitement brother!!!! Wow….can’t believe she put the WP into your wader. Great job of landing it. I know what your saying about fish not looking as big on camera as they do in person but you can see she was a beast👊. I’m saying 4lbs!!! Congrats on the catch!
Thanks. Mission impossible style lol. Yeah man that smallie was seeking revenge. The GoPro wide angle makes things looks smaller. That smallie was definitely in the high 3s if not like you said 4lb range. My waders are currently getting fixed after that experience but all worth it. Appreciate you watching.
It is awesome. There is pockets of deeper water up to the chest area but it’s manageable. Also the water depth will depending the time of year, tide, and recent rain. In general thou it’s a cool place.
That was totally awesome! This shows that the Potomac is a "World Class Fishery". You make me want to put on my chest waders and get out there with you. I hope that hook didn't make a leak in your waders.
I’ve never thought of the Potomac river as world class but now that has changed lol. My waders did have a leak afterwards but the good thing is that SIMMS stand behind there product and all I had to do was send them in for repair.
Beautiful tank of a PB. I’ve been waiting to see this one. Gotta have that scale on you, or even better, just a measuring tape. MD uses length for trophy catches. I’d say upper 3’s on this football. On the WP too!🔥
Thanks. Yup got to be better prepared next time. I agree somewhere in the upper 3lb range. Thanks for watching bro. Looking forward to our next adventure.
@@alladventurecapitol I forgot to mention, I got so anxious when you were trying to land it and then it hooked to your waders. That was a crazy sequence. My PB smallie also came close to getting between my legs.😆
@@bassinbaskie yeah that was a scary and crazy moment so glad it all worked out. My waders had a leak after that. Had to send in the waders for repairs but worth it lol.
man, so fun to wade through these rivers. I need to get out there and go for those smallies. haven't caught one in a long time. Love rivers like this. congrats on the unofficial PB of that smallmouth
Nice video bro, but the cardinal sin on any youtube fisherman is to not have a scale. On amazon they sell the waterproof kastking and waterproof runcl , both are small lightweight and very accurate. You should carry both in case one stops working, and extra set of batterys. Us viewers always want to see weight. It looks to be 3 to 3.5, also think of a disaster 6 # smallie which they are in there around chain bridge where you are, and last thing you want is no scale. Fish grippers to scale takes 10 seconds. Anyways also no need for waders in summer time, become one with the river bro lol. Smallmouth are the best because... they always have to feed cause high metabolism in current. They hit lures better than largemouth cause they are afraid to lose a food item and in a river they only have one shot before the food item disappears so they hit alot more than lazy largemouth. The cloud cover coming in slowly helped the bite. If you want to slay them, go when its raining and use a spinnerbait right below surface and hang on ! Thats when the big females feed in summer the 5 pound hawgs, most of time they nocturnal in summer the big ones. I cant wait until you catch ur first 4 to 5 pound smallie then you will be hooked and be mostly a smallie fisherman lol. I enjoy your excitement bro keep it up but ditch those waders and enjoy the water on skin nothing will hurt you in the water.
Thanks. It's a long story but I did have a scale further way at base camp in my pack back. And when wading I try to carry a little as possible but you're right the waterproof scale will be worth carrying. I took the smallie to Jay to have him help take pics and film and didn't want to put the smallies under any more stress, so I just released it. Thanks for watching.
I love hiking and exploring to get to the fishing honey hole. Looks like a fun day hanging with your buddy and catching smallies. 👍
Thanks for watching. Same here exploring and looking for fishing spots is my favorite.
That’s a FOOTBALL bro! Good shit!
Thank brother. I love the username because I love nachos, tacos, and burritos. Damn I'm hungry now lol.
awesome smallmouth brother 😎

Smashing biggie smalls as usual bro! Fire session!

That is a pretty amazing spot that close to DC. Lunker city! That is who makes those Spanky worms. Great smallies, dude.

Thanks. Yeah man river fishing for smallies is super fun. You should definitely get out and catch some.
i'm the same dude...i rarely bother with the scales...unless it just happens to be convenient which it usually isn't...so yeah...
I know what you mean. Glad you get it.
