I actually like Devin Haney and I do think to a certain extent he gets an unfair shake and should be more respected for what he has already accomplished at a still very young age. He’s a consummate professional and is willing to fight anybody. What more should we want out of a young champion? But, I think Antonio makes valid points. Haney still has vast room for improvement.

Antonio is spot on. Haney is a really talented sharp boxer, but if he had “undisputed talent”, he would have convincingly beaten Loma who I hate to say isn’t what he once was. I didn’t think he won the fight against Loma, but it was close, so I’m not arguing with the decision. Undisputed talent implies you’re a fighter who is head and shoulders above everybody, like Crawford, like Inoue, like Usyk at Cruiserweight. In my view, Loma proved there are lightweights who can beat Haney, therefore, his championship status is disputed.

Facts I first noticed that with AB the way he threw his right hand. It was more like a push.Tavers right about rhythm. Tank is one who has great rhythm to go along with his timing. Look at the the punch that stopped Rolly. It was planned and timed.
Haney's father did remove him from Mayweather Sr. training too early. His dad did a shitty job in his corner against Loma. As the younger youthful fighter, he was supposed to be able to keep Loma at a distance. Haney did beat Loma by a slight margin, but he's not the best in that weight class.
Firstly I do not dislike Tarver. But he wasn't the complete package either. But the skillset of fighters these days. it's a joy to watch the game evolves. and of course haney. tank. Shakur. have things missing. most fighters if not all have weaknesses

I agree. The biggest difference between Haney compared to shakur and tank is shakur and tank have great accuracy and punch selection. I agree. The biggest difference between Haney compared to shakur and tank is shakur and tank have great accuracy and punch selection. Shakur doesn’t have much power but he’s precise to the point he gains his opponents respect as a puncher, tank has tremendous power as well as accuracy which is why he’s stopping everyone, Haney lacks both those things.
Who would switch to him when he is dissing there pops. He was a great fighter and beat Hall of Famer Roy Jones but never reached the notoriety of Roy. Tank is executing, and Shakur has scientific defense, Haney has heart. Crawford would give the All-time greats trouble. Like Leonard, Duran and Hearns. Boxing is peaking right now. So I see a lot of greatness. I am a student of boxing for 50years, can go on and on. Talk to me.

Thank God somebody finally said it. I have been saying this about eight years now there is only fighters and bar fights. There is no boxing matches anymore. The game is totally fucked up. Tarver is right. I noticed it on one of Haneys padwork videos. Noticed Haney doesnt extend his right hand all the way. So theres not as much power on it. Left hook has nothing on it. Jab is his best punch. Whatever tho look what hes done with no power and bad technique.
