Fantastic memories of the 70s. I lived there from early 70s to 1990. Still return every year to my apartment in Causeway Bay. They were the best of times
Many thanks for preserving such invaluable films for us. I am a resident of Hong Kong and am trying to use AI to better the quality of old films. I find this video is especially valuable so I'd like to produce an AI-enhancement of it and post it on my youtube channel. May I have your permission to do so? If you like, I can send you a copy. Best wishes, from Cat Chan.🙏
I had left Hong Kong on 14th January 1974 after 3 years of awesomeness. I loved it so much I wanted to stay but being 17 couldn't. We lived in Chater Hall, 1 Conduit Road - the best view on the Island. been back a couple times but everything has changed completely.
I remember as a child being on a plane that was stopping over in Hong Kong, i remember looking out the window and marvelling at just how close we were to the water, i can't remember if we were landing or taking off.. but i remember seeing the Junks with their fan like sails passing by, thought it was marvelous, a memory i still have :)
I am from an American family , lived in HongKong from the mid 50's to the 60's . I love the authentic Cantonese foodstuffs there . Not just good but fantastic ! 👍🏻😊☕️. 🇮🇹🇺🇸
1975 is very special for me because it was the year my only aunt from mom side moved to hongkong. She was hired by Cathay Pacific. And we had dinner as we saw her off. Hong Kong was a fantastic place as I also got to live in the great city a decade later. Long live!! Hongkong as it was in the 70's and 80's hongkong. Hurray
Two questions: When Great Britain went to war with Chinese for trade, wasn’t it because opiods they were pushing to China? Did she finally cured her headache?
I went to hk with granpa( 1914 - 2003) and cousin on a tour in November 1980. Till now its still a bful memory , looking at those photograf, hang on the wall, a tour group photo, most are gone now assumed. I was 14 than. From Malaysia.
I was brought up in Hong Kong 1961-1980. In 1975 when i was 17 i worked on a 40 story Commercial building in Central while it was being built. I was the only European who worked there everyday. It was an interesting experience

Only the BBC can hitch a ride with the RAF!
Thx for sharing ! Very precious clips ! 🎉❤❤❤
So glad I've found this channel.
1975 is the best time of my life, when I was just 24 years old. Thanks for uploading.
