Your first Designare Hackintosh video was my first real Mac powerhouse workstation, and I’ve made some really cool stuff with it and it wouldn’t have happened without your tutorials. And now I’m about to wipe and upgrade the same machine with this video years later. Can’t thank you enough!
You really are Santa! -I used your last video to help me with my HP zBook G5 laptop and I discovered from your hint the "new way" to do USB mapping using USBToolBox and the windows side of my dual boot HP Laptop! Thank you Technolli!!!
This video is great and I keep coming back to it whenever a Windows update or BIOS update messes up the settings 😅 Thanks a lot! Just upgraded my Designare i9 Hackintosh with a RX6800XT, from RX580. 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you very much for the video. This is my MB and recently I had an issue with the EFI. I will do a clean install. Will wait for you USB map. Merry Christmas!!!
I did Casey’s Mojave golden build (from Tonymacx86) a few years ago and just upgraded with the very concise and clear help of this video. THANK YOU! A few notes for anyone that might have that same build. I had the Fenvi FV-T919 card so the bluetooth and wireless worked right off the bat. Thunderbolt now seems to be hot swappable (at least I can unplug and plug in my Fireface 800 without issues) and the RX-580 is still rockin’. On first boot from the Ventura/OC USB stick I got a timeout error on the OC disk choice so I just kept tapping the number key of the drive on the next boot (like hitting delete) and got it going. I’ll get to playing with the boot arguments at some point. On the last (Clover/Mojave) setup I had USB dropouts (the internal ports stopped working) so I ended up getting a card which solved the problem. I’m curious if this will happen with the OC upgrade. Also, make sure to format your USB stick with GUID partition mapping (this tripped me up as there was no EFI without this). All in all this was the easiest of all updates in my years of hackintoshing. BIG PROPS TO TECHNOLLI.
First of all, thank you very much. This video helped me a lot, especially in introducing me to the OC Auxiliary Tools. I managed to get my Asus TUF Z390 Gaming Plus working 100%. I had to make some changes to get it to boot
got my z390 aura pro working with your first tutorial. been trying to update opencore but couldnt manage it. so glad you made an updated version. ive used the system sereal number /system uuid from my last opencire as i have plugins signed to that. hopefully i dont have any problems. thanks for this
I have received my GIGABYTE Z390 DESIGNARE and built my i9 Hackintosh. :) . i9-9900K(QQBY engineer sample), 32 GB DDR4-2666, 2x500 Gb NVMe, RX 590 8 Gb, MacOS 14.3.1(Sonoma). 😀 This is my third desktop hackintosh.
Thanks, got it to work. Been hackintoshing for a very long time and things are just so much more stable. I tried this on a second drive wiping clean, but for my main SSD drive all I had Big Sur on, I just replaced that EFI with your EFI (made a copy in case), booted and did a normal update and everything is working fine. For some reason my wifi worked just fine without doing anything, didn't need that heliport!
TechNolli my installs always given me trouble even with the EFI you so Graciously provide us,But you wanted to teach us how to make our own I started over again from scratch,I had to reformat the USB and followed your instruction to the letter and I got it working. The problem I have is my Nvme drives would not show up as a drive to install on and I think there's something wrong with this MOBO, I can't install my drives directly on the MOBO I use a PCI express adapter its been that way since I own this board. But thank you for the education my friend.
Wanted to say THANK YOU! I’ve been stuck on clover (Mojave) for so long. Was so excited to finally boot into a newer MacOS (Big Sur) using opencore. Your tutorial was so thorough and simply just made sense. I did run into an issue with my Fenvi Broadcom card (that is apparently an issue with Big Sur). Any suggestions? Lack of continuity or bluetooth will be a big issue. Again, thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you so very much. I really did miss your videos and content this last year. Your last video was so simple it got me to hack my Z390 Aorus Pro in just few hours. Still working on Ventura support but got it going in Monterey no time. Do you have a donation page?
Thanks a lot for the video! I can't be happier. I could fix my Hackintosh with this tutorial. Let me know if there is a Donate button somewhere because I will use it for sure. Thanks a million!
Thank you, TechNolli. Great video, but the Bluetooth with the Fenvi T919 doesn't work at all! 😭😭😭 I noticed in your video that Intel's Bluetooth isn't working either. Did you find a solution after a year? Please, could you make a new video to help us solve this problem on Ventura?
HiTechnolli! Very nice!! Learned a lot from your video and am now on Ventura on my Z390 Designare! Great video and easy to follow! I uploaded all of the specified files to my opencore using OC Aux tools and everything works except thunderbolt. Not sure whatIdid wrong....any clues or hints would be appreciated. Thanks again! Great work!
Sir, Thank you very much for this introduction to OCAT. I have z390 Aorus Pro Wifi. I'd been trying to upgrade it beyond Big Sir for quite a while before I destroyed my system using Opencore Legacy Patcher Ventura. Thanks to you I was able to install Ventura. I then messed it up trying to map my USB ports. (this what happens when you try to do things in more than one way (ie. UsbMap & Hackintool) . I finally opened the USBPorts.Kext in PlistEdit and I'm good to go. I'd be happy to share my USBPorts.kext to anyone who has the Pro Wifi. Thanks again
Hi and thanks for coming back. I missed you with all the fantastic videos. I upgraded my z390 and everything is fine except of my monitors resolutions. my graphic card is Radeon RX570 4gb. My monitored wont go higher than 1600x900. they were working in big sur with the max of 1920x1080. do I need to add any specific kex for this graphic card on venture?
Thanks Reza! No different kext needed. Try holding down the Command key on a Mac keyboard, (or Alt key on a Windows keyboard), then click on Scaled in System properties, then displays.

Thanks for this video, very clear as usual. I've got only one question: can I create the USB stick from my current Clover Catalina Hackintosh or is it going to mess it up completely ? I aim to install the OC Ventura on another drive that used to have a clone of the Clover Hack.
I thought this was going to be the solution to my thunderbolt issue on my 390 designare. Still doesnt work with the added AML file. Is there more to it than just added the file and saving in ACPI?
First of all thank you very much for the video!! I love hearing your voice. I have a problem with the time zone. When I put automatic (some program asks me for the ilok) it tells me that I am in Pacific Standard Time when I am in Spain... How can I fix it? Thanks a lot!!!
Thanks Xavier! Try this: You will need Wi-Fi on so that location services can best determine where you are. Then, Settings > General and Set time and date automatically - enabled and set the Time source (e.g. time.apple.com, or a time server near your geography. Set time zone automatically using your current location - enabled. When you do this, it may get the zone right and the closest city set.
Hi Technoli, I want to install Sonoma on this motherboard but I keep getting an error where I can't see the destination name. I can see the installer drive but not else. Do you know why this could be?
Many thanks. I used your original hackintosh designare video to build my current machine and have been using clover and proper tree ever since. I look forward to trying these new tools and wish i had seen this before getting a black screen after installing a 6800xt the other week which took me a good half hour to figure out.
