    The two slang words that stood out in this clip, "Barnet" for hair, comes from the rhyming slang 'Barnet Fair', and 'Syrup' for wig, comes from 'Syrup of figs'. I hope this helps.

And we sat so close. Equal to us seeing the local lads the bee gees sing after being our neighbours not once but twice in our lives. Both best ever out this world and so close . Mickey still no chance of tickets.

    Please check out Lee Evans, he’s a British comedian- has retired but for a long time he was one of the best around- I believe he was the first person to start the trend of huge stadium and arena tours in front of 10’s of thousands of people- he’s like a British Jim Carey and will have you cracking up at his observational wacky style 🤞🏻🙏

    The word skiving that you didn't understand means, to be lazy and avoid what you should be doing.
    Example, if your skiving from work, youve taken the day off and phoned in sick.
    Also, barnet and syrup were cockney rhyming slang. Syrup and fig means wig but you dont say the rhyming word, you say the word before it, it was secret code back in the day between criminals

  • @hermandobernardes722
    @hermandobernardes722 10 днів тому

    Micky Flanagan is from the east end of London, Bethnal Green, bit maybe like the Bronx of New York. From that part of London, they're also known as Cockneys, and much of the language, which some have spread throughout the UK, as Cockney rhyming slang. Another example is'Are you having a giraffe?' Giraffe, laugh. The other aspect in the character of a cockney is that because they're from the East end, they tend to be working class, with high unemployment though now, the area is being gentrified (redeveloped), so cockneys need to be creative in how they can earn their money!!!!! Hence, they are termed with the euphemism to be Crafty, or Crafty cockneys, yet lovable (because unless provoked, they're not violent) instead they'll use charm and humour to get them though the scrapes of life, i.e. they know about the hard knocks of life, so in a way, they are respected because they are knowledgeable about the street resourcefull, using charm, wit yet quick, clever, in talking themselves out of tight corners. Hence, Micky Flanagan epitomises the 'Del boy' character in one of UK's most loved Comedy series (1981 to 2003) 'Only fools and horses' and to an extent Micky Flanagan is keeping alive the lovable Crafty cockney character. So, it's the culture and history of his character that the UK audiences strongly associate with. Hopefully, this helps to provide more context.

      This might be the dumbest shyt anyone has ever typed. You are on a reaction channels video. Meaning you should be here for our reaction. So when we give a reaction, pause and talk, say anything on this vid, this is what you are here for. If you wanted to watch Micky without any interruptions, you should not watch a reaction channel, you should watch a Micky clip. Maybe the dumbest comment we have ever received 🤣🤣🤣🤣

      @@TheBr3akRoom Not dumb mate. Go back and listen to what you said when you paused. Most of what you said wasn't reaction, it was supposition and some of it off on a tangent. Reacting to an artist doesn't mean you have to pause to say something every minute. Look at some of the most successful reactors. They watch the whole performance then comment. I watch reactors who have something substantial to say i.e. Elizabeth Zharoff of "The Charismatic Voice" who has 1.85 million subscribers and 408 million views. You have posted more videos than Elizabeth, yet you have garnered 1/16th of her views. So, given these facts it might just be you that are "shyt". PS The version of "shit" used in the British Isles is in fact "shite" not what you used, so yet again, something that you didn't get right. Good luck with your future shit, shite, shyt, shyte, shytte, you are going to need it. Also, running a reaction channel successfully might just need a bit more ability to handle criticism than you have shown. You were critical of me but I can handle it effectively, as I taught secondary school for 33 years and copped more criticism from students and parents that you will ever get on your hobby channel.
