10:06 in denominator it will be L in place of R i.e. GM/L(1/r-1/r+L)
Right
12:00 expression is wrong, it should be (Gm/L) [1/r - 1/r+L]
Yes u r right
can you help me with one problem when sir is deriving formula of grav. potential inside a hollow sphere it is coming same as that of the surface but when we derive the formula of grav. field inside the hollow sphere it is calculated to be zero so why does not the grav. potential is also zero inside the sphere
@@manthandubey007 it's been a while since I looked at physics but the potential inside is constant and field is negative gradient of potential and hence it's zero inside. Maybe you can watch the derivations again

Re: 10:08
I believe there is an error in this part. According to PG concept video[1], the term in the denominator should be L, not r. That is, the expression for gravitational field at an axial point of a uniform rod should be _gp = (GM/L) [(1/r) - 1/(r+L)]_

@@real_potatohead1970 bro I'm not able to solve for gp plz help me with steps or just an equation
@@jain.ayushee ok...first calculate gp considering the entire sphere(without cavity) by formula gp= GM/(x)^2 [here x=3R]... then calculate gp due to cavity using same formula but x here will be [3R+R/2](as distance is always taken from the centre to the point)...gp = Gm/(3R+R/2)^2
Also remember the to calculate the mass of the cavity...
let density be p...
mass = density*volume
then gp(net) = gp(due to complete sphere)-gp(due to cavity)
