Today we check on the sheep and then head to the antique mall to spend some time together. We seen a lot of great items but Gary really regrets leaving one World War II item behind, should we just go back?? Thanks for watching and God Bless!

The WWll Shovel. To open it you unscrew the round thing on the handle to loosen it up. Then bring the blade up to the position you want it to be in. Retighten and you have a shovel. My dad had one and we used it when we went camping. Take care all.

Im happy to hear you say that you and Cassie take time for yourselves as a couple, without the kids. My husband and I have been married for almost 52 years. During that time, we made sure to take time for the “couple”, not the parents. I cautioned others about the importance of caring for your marriage. I’ve seen too many people who spent years so focused on the kids that when the kids grew up and moved on, mom and dad were virtual strangers. Twenty-five years and 4 kids, now getting a divorce. They had grown apart because their only connection was through the kids. Once they weren’t around, there was nothing to hold the couple together. It’s tragic, but that’s what happens when you only see the kids and your responsibility to them while the couple sits on the shelf collecting dust. Because you take that time, your marriage will grow and thrive, while others wither and die.
Oh yea....those places carry EVERYTHING! But that why I LOVE them 😄

I wonder if you could temporarily pin up the sheep or goats in the area with the clover to see if they'd eat it up for you? Very interesting store. I keep my butter in my grandma’s antique cut glass cheese ball dish with lid to hold my butter. I just have to cut the stick in half. I hope someone can use this idea.

I used to live in SE MO - SE Missouri and my daughter and I would scour the 100 mile garage sales through Kentucky and Missouri; antique sales etc. Sometimes those old barns in the estate sales and amazing treasures in them! There was also several "weekend" yard sales that went from the southern border all the way to St Louis. Fun fun fun.
Nice military shovel . I hadn’t seen one of those sents my husband was in the military in 1980’s
Every kid must experience a comic book. I love “antique” shopping. 😁 Brings back the memories and back to much simpler times. I have a food mold collection I have collected over the years. They are hung above the cupboards, on the kitchen walls here and there, and the small jello & candy molds are store in large old canning jars that sit on top of the frig. Haven’t been antique browsing for years. Thanks for taking me along.😁

When we were kids we used to have to pick set clover that grew up everywhere and feed it to the sheep and the chickens it was fun

That shovel is US Army shovel they carried on their belts. My husband has one, but his is from Vietnam War, and we still have it. He used it to dig holes for planting flowers and garden plants. God Bless the Walker family.

I am not mowing here in Florida yet. I am considering it just to get some green to add to my compost. Unfortunately after 3 years I am still trying to convert this sand into soil.
I lived in Florida for thirty years and in one house we just gave up on a side yard and called it the sand lot for the neighborhood kids. They loved it and everyone knew where their kids were.
We had sand in our northern Michigan lawn, no matter how you dug. My husband spread cow manure and rye seed over the entire yard. When he planted some good grass, he would mow and never pick up the clippings. He’d leave them lay to help the lawn. In a few years, very few, we had earth worms in the soil that really helped. We had a beautiful lawn, and I planted lots of flowers that did very well. You just have to work at it. It will turn to good soil.
@@coleneritchie5625 I only have an acre so no cows, but I have poultry, goats and kunes spreading manure. I prefer to plant everything edible for either myself or the animals and none of the animals really like the Florida grass that is here. I spread millet and Johnson grass after I move the chicken tractors and am using clovers and dandelion varieties throughout the garden area in this year as cover crops

Actually, if you can use a steam iron, measuring tape, scissors, and scroll saw you can run a sewing machine too for simple projects. A lot ofmecery day household linens, outdoor covers, amd farm related animal blankets are pretty doable. You would probably want a more heavy duty machine though. The Singer 4452, or a physically heavy old machine, is a good heavy duty starter machine good for many year's worth of projects.

You could bring a RV and camp and SHOP ❤

We gave my dad a old RR lantern years ago, cleaned it up and turned into a hanging light for over his desk. It now hangs in our garage as a night light.
