Also, Maryland has a NC State transfer by the name of MJ Morris. He started games for the Wolfpack and is the frontrunner to win the job.

Regarding your comment on the ACC looking academically at expanding with more western schools:
    OSU-Carnegie tier one
    WSU-Carnegie tier one
    UNLV-Carnage tier one
    SDSU-soon to be tier one

      Rice is AAU
      Tulane is AAU
      ULL Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
      Ark St Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
      Texas St Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
      Memphis Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
      WazzU is Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
      OzzU is Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
UNT is too close to SMU but is better academically and identical to Rice with credentials.
Utah St is Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
      Col St Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
      Nevada Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
UNLV new Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1 but suck constantly in most sports historically except a few glamorous years in men’s hoops.
      New Mexico Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
      Hawaii Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
      UTSA Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
      UTEP Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1
Idaho Tier 1, Carnival 1, R1 & original founding member of the PAC or precursor to PAC.
Montana and Montana St like Idaho were original members of the PAC or the precursor to the PAC and similar or identical academic standards.
Northern Arizona Tier 1, Carnegie 1, R1 but I am pretty sure no Mountain or Pacific Time Zone FCS school will be added and thus leaving out Central Time Zone schools that are FCS but more than exceed the academic standards of the ACC.
I know that there are other schools with T1, C1, R1 status and even AAU but focused on the D1A football schools and realize if going West, will probably go for a second Texas school before officially addressing the West Coast schools.

I’d lump Rice and Tulane in there with UNLV on their limited lack of success but trending upwards with great future potential.
The PAC has always thought quite highly of themselves academically.
Thank you for pointing out that most
Mountain West schools are on the same level.
The PAC has no relevance now and if the departing members wouldn’t have left the two orphans with the consolation $$$,
OSU and WSU would be begging the MW for membership instead of waiting around like an ugly girl for a date on prom night.

I really don’t mind them wanting to wait. I think that they, as much free want to see what ESPN will do.

Should’ve had the Army and Navy games on the list. Those games mean more. The games against the power teams can really help the conference, but they don’t top the trophy games. Air Force took the soul from Baylor in the Armed Forces Bowl in zero weather in Fort Worth 2 years ago. They might do it again.
Fresno will struggle some without Tedford. He’s probably worth 2 wins. He was a consultant with Washington in 2016 when they went to the CFP and had Jonathan Smith as OC.

I might make several post, but want to start with this one. I truly believe FSU has legitimately made some teams and conferences mad with their antics lately. Money talks and Texas still got in the SEC, but that hurts FSU. That’s part of why you hear bad business partner talk about them. Based upon where the conferences are, the Big 12 is going to put up with more than the P2.
FSU doesn’t have a good relationship with ND or UNC. They need that knowing they’re the top P2 targets. It was said yesterday that whoever is advising FSU is doing a bad job.
JY is forgetting a few things on why FSU would go to the Big 12. It’s called having a big mouth. They already burned the ACC relationship. They’ve barked too much about leaving. The Big 10 and SEC don’t want to expand yet, but will if teams are available. Bjork at Ohio State seemed to be hinting at revenue sharing in the future. The Super League talk won’t go away. The conferences want to know how many things will go. FSU has a “we’re leaving and we’re leaving now” attitude. They might have to go to the Big 12 just because they can’t stay in the ACC.
Oregon and Washington did everything the Big 10 asked for and when. They didn’t act like idiots like what I’ve seen from FSU. There are P2 teams that have said they don’t want FSU. It’s beyond “we don’t want them now”.
I’m going to do another TV audience dive to see what I think about ACC teams value for TV. I already know FSU lags in academics, research, and endowment.

Hey you guys didn’t cover Pac-12 Media Day from the open bar with the mascots Benny and Butch!
Some of the talk is probably posturing, but I think the Pac-2 is overplaying their hand and need to join with the MWC.

I’d put the 3 new schools at the top. Most of the room is the starter. You want good backups, but they don’t play except injuries and garbage time.
Allar isn’t great. Neither is Will Howard!

Sad for ex-hcTedford & Fres.St.: revising my outlook for '24 Bulldogs down due to loss of Tedford. Ucla has a real chance to knock off Fres.St. in Bruins' '24 regular season finale.

Tedford has been a coaching stalwart in the west.
We wish him good health in his retirement.

Not only did I think Oregon and Washington should be 15 and 16 unless threatened, but I’m a Udub grad. It sure wasn’t being a hater.
BTW, what were the rules for taking Hawaii?

No rules on Hawaii. Too concerned about the 4 corners.

As a geography guy, I appreciated using the 4 corners and Oklahoma Panhandle to get the Sooners.

Quit being Nice Steve. Those 4 western teams for the ACC have academics like the Sesame Street segment “One of these isn’t like the others”. They match some, but lag far behind the top.
It’s like Free Shoes U saying they have Big 10 academics. Yeah like Nebraska that is worried about trouble and Oregon that was told to get better. Nobody want below average schools and teams.
