It has been three years since you guys released this. It’s currently November 6th 2017 and I remember this Video being posted three years ago and watching it. I wanted to thank you guys. Not only for saving my life, but for the billions of others. Your band is reason I’m alive, my best friend is alive, and how my best friend and I met. We met because of your fan base. It’s been three years and this music video and song still puts me in tears. Not because of how “you guys have changed” or how “ you arnt the same as you used to be” because you are. You guys will always be Calum, Ashton, Luke, and Michael. You will always be the four idiots who saved my life. This song always puts me in tears because I relate to it, but not how it was intended. When the lyrics talk about wanting to wake up with amnesia I relate as in wanting to forget other things/ traumatic experiences. So I wanted to thank you. A lot of people is saying "oh, it's not as emotional as the lyric video" or stuff, to me it's sad as hell because you can see them all being happy and teenagers, but then there's the parts where you can see Calum sad and alone, apart of the rest of the band.
It's actually an emotional video, the concept of the video is like flashbacks, when they're happy with the girls and stuff *(like in the start, when ashton is riding his bike and when they're playing at ashton's garage and I have to say that they're recreating the band's first practice)*, are flashbacks, when they're three girls and five guys (5sos + dat random boy lol) it's the "present" *(or when they're singing alone)*. We see Calum alone apart of the rest of the boys because he broke up with his chick so he's the one who wished he had Amnesia. You just have to see it, maybe they didn't put it so obvious like flashback parts in black and white but you can see the differences like, when are flashbacks, there's a lot of people and they're smiling really big, even Calum, but when it's the "present", Calum is lonely and sad, beside the boys flirting with their chicks.
