Metropole Orkest and NPO Radio 2 Soul & Jazz joined forces in presenting the Metropole Studio Sessions: Dutch Jazz Jam on Friday 9 October 2020. Together with some of the best Dutch jazz musicians, Metropole Orkest played jazz standards and soloists’ own compositions. The line-up for the first Dutch Jazz Jam consisted of Hermine Deurloo, Jesse van Ruller, Ruben Hein, Benjamin Herman, Jan van Duikeren and Anna Serierse. The orchestra was conducted by Jochen Neuffer.
Outstanding!
Wish we had this quality of music in the states.
The combination of the scripted orchestra and the improvisation is incredible!
Miles would have been impressed.
Exactly, thanks, this is our Dutch Orchestra. so happy with the arrangement also.
This is amazing. Thank you so much for this video and your continued work. Much appreciated from a musician in San Francisco, California USA.
Our Dutch gem needs to be taken care of.
I'm overwhelmed!
Wat een arrangement ! Bravissimo ! DIk erop en mega subtiel tegelijk. Het IS.
great drummer
and the gentleman has not been named!!
Yeaaa!!🙌🏼🌟
Superb!
Great arrangement, performance and recording!
The best and courageous orchestra in its genre in the world. Keep culture alive ! Always!! Excellent performance........
I totally agree. The world's best orchestra for years...no doubt.
@@catanlorca Thanks, our dutch orchestra. 😍
Il n'y pas à dire, cet orchestre est vraiment extra, il y a du rythme, de brillants solistes, des pupitres de qualité, d'excellents arrangements. C'est le maintien d'une grande tradition, celle du grand orchestre de jazz. MERCI.
C'est notre Neerlandais Metropole orchestre, pa mal hein ? TOp arrangement aussi.
Super refined. Jazz at its most sophisticated. Love the Metropole Orkest and this is a perfect use of it. I can't help but contrast with the heavy Jazz of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, a performance based finishing school for kids (here in their mid/late teens) mixed with some professionals. From 2014 and cross-linked to encourage traffic...

Shout out to Daniel Jamieson for this outstanding arrangement - loving it! And you're killin' it MO. Thank you for that!
Ha, Mol and I both tilt our heads to the left whilst playing the trumpet
Wonderful arrangement!
Wow, a joy to hear, and very convincing soloists too.
What a wonderful arrangement of the Miles classic, thank you for the enjoyment that you bring. Paul from NZ.
Yeah!it's something!!!
Wow. Bueno
Great!!!
Walk that bass, Aram 🎵👍🏾
🎵👌🎵💯🥂
Люблю этот коллектив!❤
Wow!!
Thank you!
Wow, fantastic!
I find it hard to believe in such ignorance. The Introduction to the song “So what?” was composed and arranged by the famous Gil Evans, to whom we all owe a creative revolution in the Arrangement of Large Jazz Orchestra. As for the arrangement itself, I am surprised by the assessment for mediocre work... As always, my favorite Metropole Orchestra played well. Good Luck!
That intro was gorgeous!! What's the deal with the trumpeter basically yelling the entire time? A lot of brass players tend to do that thinking it equals intensity.
The trumpet solo was actually quite excellent. Not sure what you mean.
Man, this is bad ass. Superb! Excellent soloists, as well.
