well in that case it is just a manner of your taste then - the songs from Sabaton resonate with me because from a young age I enjoyed history very much and their songs are basically musical accounts of famous battles, victories, defeats, men, women, wars, etc. Many times I have come across a song about a topic I didn't know about and hearing the song compeled me to go and learn more about it - this way they preserve the stories of men, women and children in musical form and present them to the wide public audiance, many of which may not care for history at all but will still find about it through their music. They do not sing about war to exalt it, but to make sure these famous deeds, horrific wrongs and heroic people are not forgotten and lost beneath the sands of time. I am from Czech republic, a little country in the middle of Europe that most people never heard of. Yet in the ww 2 our exiled battle pilots formed the 310th airborne division of RAF and helped protect Britain from the the Luftwafe. One of our pilots even became an air marshall in the RAF. Nobody knew this - so they made two songs about it and now hundreds of thousands of people all over the world know who those brave men were and where they've came from and they learn more not just about history but more about the world they live in. I could give dozens of such examples where they preserve history and drive people to educate themselves in such way but I rest my case. We shouldn't dwell on history too much but we can learn much from our past mistakes and actions - if we forget them we are doomed to repeat them. So for me as a history buff I appriciate their music for what they try and succed in doing and I also appriciate them as someone who didn't listen to metal at all before he heard one of their songs and now is a regular metal-head. It's okay if they don't appeal to you - I just wanted to tell you what they mean to people that they do
I can certainly see the fun sabaton can be for a history buff and even very much like and support the remembrance and reremembrance of history, its just that I do not like their music style that much, just a matter of taste.

I actually think sabaton in general are quite boring. They imo only have a very few good songs, the rest is very generic and predictable.
I can see this being the case with someone who doesn't like or enjoy history - but for a fan of history it is a blast
I certainly do enjoy history, so much that I am even going to study it at Uni and I still dont like Sabaton that much
