In the future, please please please have one speaker fully read out the rule word for word without interruptions when switching to a new topic/mechanic. Once the rule and all its wording has been fully announced, then everyone can jump into discussion about it. It would greatly improve the listenability to these podcasts.

As a casual player that hasn't played since N3, but have followed along and dreamed about playing more, I'm very excited about the new edition. Especially Armour rolls being just like any other roll (roll lower is good) finally irons out the one annoying thing to explain during intro games. I'm sad to see Code One go as a format, since it was easier to hold all the rules in my head, and Infinity is intimidating as hell, but oh well. My favourite models, my Caledonians, also got the cut, but I think I have made a vanilla Ariadna list where I can fit my entire Caledonian collection as proxy for different stuff, so I don't mind as much. Although William Wallace in vanilla does have Inspired Leadership, but he's not allowed to be Lt. in vanilla Ariadna, only in Kosmoflot...
As an Acontecimento main for most of N3/N4, I'm a bit frustrated with having to restart a new faction, but also it's kinda cool to start a new faction. "Well fuck me, I guess" definitely went through my mind
I was excited about this edition but my army not just getting legended but straight up deleted killed that fast. Will see with time if it's worth coming back
I basically skipped last edition, but as someone who mostly played JSA in N3, N5 feels custom designed to target me personally and make me get back into the game.
@GuerrillaMiniatureGames the 15 model cap killed list diversity in the game. Playing 8+8 was fun. 10 model lists were also fun. Elite factions were adjusted to reach 15 models + extra orders during N3, but cheap factions were not properly adjusted to the 15 model cap. If ariadna or haqqislam is forced to play with the same ammount of models as combined army or aleph and with less orders on top of that, something has gone wrong in terms of gameplay design and balance. At the end of the day it's just boring. Everyone is forced to play the same game, with less asimetry than ever and some armies are just better at it than others. If you add to that the deleted armies and ariadna the 4 nation army soon with vanilla tak, tak sectorial and a second flavor of tak a la NA2... CB is not particularly good or fast fixing problems, when they don't care they just make some minor changes and avoid the problem for a couple of years, MRRF has never been good since their release and CBs just changes something a little bit and ignores it. It's the same with everything else.

All my PanO lists with Cutters are gone. My Starco list…wow that went away.

As a newer player drawn to O-12, I'm just glad my faction only had 2 sectorials with mostly newer models lol.
