I bought one of two they had in stock. Both were gone in days. Never made it to the site. I was lucky and had been waiting a year to get one. I got a limited sunburst one. Absolutely beautiful looking and sounding
I've never played an Eastman but that one sounds outstanding! Now, if they could make one in all-mahogany (maybe they do, I dunno...), that would be an absolute BOOMER!!

I have a Guild,12 string that I bought for nothing because I t had a big crack in the side of it. The guy told me 20 years ago that he would give me the $1550 guitar for 1000. They ended up selling it to me for $520 which was their cost. I’ve told many people I own the nicest sounding 12 string on earth. I love that they are heavy and that the sound has nowhere to go but out to fill the room. Once in a while, we get lucky in life. It’s still has the ‘big crack,’and is fine as can be.🎼🎼🎼
@@potterwalker4823well hot shot I just bought an epiphone 12 string and Gibson owns epiphone and the only difference between them besides the $5,000 I saved is not real mother of Pearl in lays and the name and headstock. @tildencats9523 they are fantastic guitars! I also had a late 80s Sigma dreadnought that I gave to my other son. The little numbnuts traded it away. Grrrrr
Honestly those are two very different guitars when you compare their tonewoods and their body sizes. I wouldn't say either is better, they're just different, it depends on the style of music you want to play!
Did you know it has as stock .012 medium set of strings on it? Thats pretty heavy for a 12 string and might explain the great sound it has. I tried it with .010 strings, was a lot less impressive 😅
This model is at $1,079 and Eastman is releasing soon a dreadnought 12-string at $879 as well: www.theacousticshoppe.com/shop/Instruments/Guitars/Classical--12-String--Other-Guitar/p/Pre-Order-Deposit-Only-Eastman-E1D-12-DLX-Series-12-String-New-NAMM-Show-2024-Release-x79019047.htm
I hate the rear bridge on acoustic guitars. They can be a real pain to change strings sometimes. I'd much rather have an acoustic with a bolted on bridge similar to what is on a Stratocaster. Other than that I love the sound of a good acoustic guitar. I have a Gibson made Epiphone that sounds absolutely beautiful.
Umm….. I beg to differ. My walnut Taylor, 12 string jumbo is probably one of the best 12 string guitars as I’ve ever played and I played quite a few of them. The Mahogany is absolutely sweet also…..anyway, keep on rockin.
I finally got one 3 weeks ago. I bought the last one of the new batch they got in. Definitely limited quantities on these. They all sold in under a week. When i saw it i knew to snag it up immediately.
Sounded not good. No richness at all. My opinion. Yeah, my j-45 double-stringer is about 3 times that guitars price, but to me it’s worth it. I too have mahogany body-spruce top, but the tone/sound difference isn’t even a close comparison.
Agree, it sounded tinny and just lacks richness like you said. I posted above that the Guild F-512 is more or less the benchmark for a 12-String but I bet that J-45 sounds great too. I have a 1964 Hummingbird 6 string that sounds amazing. Always wanted to check out a J-45.

A job with " String's attached"😂😂
I don’t know it sounds kind of tinny to me
Lefty?
This model does not come in a lefty.
Except for one thing, I don't like the way it sounds.
Tuning would help.
I stick to my Ovation
But can you throw two pairs of regular strings on it?
Physically, yes but it is not ideal for the guitar. The string tension would be too much pressure for the neck.
It seams you have not played the seagull 12 strings. You might change your attitude
Actually, I even like the guild more than three seagulls... But seagull is quality
If you think the eastman guitar is the best you have in your shop, then i'm sorry your shop is so enimic
This thing sounds amazing. Did you hear the sound even from a crappy phone mic?
Guild f-512. Its the gold standard of 12 strings.
