This is crazy that you had Billy Gene on. I got into digital marketing about a year and a half ago, I’ve been struggling figuring it out and I had bought courses but I have been a sponge trying to learn more and a successful marketer I knew told me to buy his course and I bought an older version and since then I’ve been really attacking Facebook ads and smashing it for every client. He’s the man thank you Ed.

Did you learn something new from this interview that you didn’t previously know?
The way Billy thinks about advertising is on a different level of understanding and complexity. The art behind the advertisement takes much more awareness and understanding than just the targeting approach. I actually do the opposite of what you do in terms of focus for advertisements I spend a lot of time creating the actual content because I am stronger at that than my copy so that is an area I have focused on to improve.
sooo how are you doing now though...? it sounds like from your comment that you weren't overly successful from the course content you paid for at the time. I really hope it's been a successful venture by now.

Powerful interview, all the way to the end. My biggest takeaways are:
1. The time to jump on the trend in creating video content is NOW! The more you wait, the harder it gets folks!
2. My IMPERFECTIONS in creating video contents are not only fine...they'll earn me a badge of credibility and originality before my ideal audience.
3. With social media, getting clients and making more money is a matter of just how creative you can get...You could literally go from $0 in your pocket one day to $10k bucks the next day...Ask Billy if you doubt me.
when Billy Gene turned to the camera and said, "Do not try to figure this out by yourself"... a wave of relief flushed over me. For years I have been thinking something is wrong w me because I could not get a hold of this online biz thing. All these ppl found success in it and I have been wondering why I couldn't do it. I thought something was wrong w me and I blamed myself. And when he said that he released the blame within me that I had put on myself for not figuring it out on my own. So I truly want to say from my heart of hearts to Billy Thank You for helping me to take some of that blame off my shoulders. Ed I love you. Thank you for having such amazing guests on that impact me from just watching and listening to them. It's the confirmation of like minded thinking that helps us through this journey to know we are not alone and that helps to keep me going.

The question I’d ask BG: is it best to document your journey on an online platform where everyone goes to by default (ie FB,IG, Snapchat) or create your own website and work to pull people to your website and watch your journey that way?

It's so true about imperfections, I started posting my drumming bloopers, because I wanted to make my audience see that I also struggle every time I play, that I'm also in the journey of becoming better haha and those posts became of my most engaging content with my audience haha it's so crazy I love it

Wow, wow, wow, this is by far the best online marketing interview eva! A million thank you's @ Ed Mylett... on the down low "We do want to see more of your house in every interview". lol. There was so much content and googled when he suggest to google. My aim is to build a brand. I am paying my dues now. Every time I sweep my moms floors I keep reminding myself (i want a housekeeper or a robot vacumm), this is only temporary and I must work on my business more. I am constantly working on improving myself. I just want to be a better version of myself every single day!! "Steps to invest".

What makes this so awesome is that it helps people go out and actually do it. I have to go back and watch it again to learn but all the tips and advice makes me want to just go out and do what I aim to do, not caring how imperfect I am. It’s the most valuable lesson ever.
This was amazing. People told me to stay clear of Billy Gene and that the content he puts out is subpar and regurgitated. What a huge mistake I made. I currently have acquired almost all of his courses from a special he was advertising on Facebook. Lol. Yes I saw his ad and bought. I took billy genes course over 2 years ago. He personally jumped on the sales call and gave me some incredible advice based on my situation. I do social media for RV dealerships. We were growing fast and I got a client in another industry and had planned on expanding to “a bunch” of other types of businesses. He told me to stay in my lane and crush it. Great advice. Thanks Billy! Oh and the course was excellent and gave me technical knowledge I needed. I even got stumped and called their office and they walked me through it!
