Dude, I'm a rookie and when I'm walking like, what are these projectors/cameras? And I walked past through them so many times and nothing happened to me so I thought "nah, maybe it's an ability of a survivor, but who?" So at that time, I saw a camera directly flashing at a cipher, I still thought that it was harmless, I stood in front of it for a second, then proceeded to decode in front of the freaking camera, and after a second of my decoding Joseph appeared. And I'm like "what? Why? How?". Actually, more than the other hunters I've come across, I'm more scared of Joseph. Seriously, I didn't know that it was Joseph's ability until I watched this video.

Same qwq, here's a tip if you don't know already, sometimes some Joseph's will teleport to your cipher in the camera world, and then jump out of camera world to get u So if you hear the teleport sound, just in case, move away from the cipher till the cost is clear uwu
here's a little tips against joseph for anyone who read this 😂😂 1. it's always safer to decode at photo world generally 2. if you met a teammate on early, decode together. both of you can finish the cipher before photo world ends 3. if joseph balooning someone in photo world, you can safely decode at the real world bcs he can't switch to real world when balooning survivor 4. this is important: always die/knocked down in camera world (if he activates it), joseph can't chair the real survivor in camera world (technically, he can but your chair won't progress in camera world and you'll be back to knocked down once camera world ends) 5. if joseph didn't hit anyone in photo world, be prepared bcs he is standing in one of the cipher machine ready to terror shock once photo world end 6. unless he bring blink, joseph can't do anything against pallet camping. it's always battle of persistence against him, don't get baited and try to always hide and hit him with pallet 7. pallet wasting and transitioning is not the best strategy against him, joseph is the fastest hunter. he can catch up very quickly (EDIT: he's actually not the fastest, but his vaulting, weapon wiping and pallet breaking are HELLA FAST my bad 😭🤚) i hope it help for those who struggle against josep. cmiiw 😭👍
Actually when you down in camera world, Joseph can put you back in real world by drop you in front of the camera in the right spot. But it’s hard to do that tho.
I'm a Joseph main, and most of these tips are really helpful! But some can be taken badly and Joseph can take advantage: if your mirror image is around, DON'T DECODE IN REAL WORLD AND NOR IN MIRROR WORLD if Joseph sees you even in real world decoding near your mirror image, he will chair you in mirror world

So my other suggestion for survivor mains, if a cemara is next to your Cipher..decode at the other side or change Cipher. Try checking both world time to time. If you decode with no camera near and the photo world is ending, stop decoding and hide. Alot of photographer like to jumpscare survivors when the photo world ends. Hopefully this help some people who somehow stumble upon this comment.

You can prevent this by decoding in the photo world. Yes hunter will chase you but it's better than getting terror shocked. I highly recommend survivors spending more time in the photo world since it'll waste the hunters time more! You can waste fake pallets! Or when hunter chaired you in photo world it'll not kill you slowly so they are forced to wait the photo world to ends to chair you(which is very helpful at many situations)

Surprisingly enough, I've only pulled off a successful jumpscare about four times, with is sad cause I'm a Joseph main rip- Also, does anyone have tips for using the Time Jump? I'm not sure how to use it, but I've been fine without it
I can only help for mobile but pc is kinda similar. So to time skip what you do it you press the thing and then it will be put at where your foot steps have been. So it’s like you can go back in time to the place you were earlier. You press the thing and then choose the area you wanna time skip to. It will only go to the places your foot steps have been. Hope that helped.

Honestly, my suggestion as a Joseph main is to decode in the photo world.
I’ve started using survs decoding in photo world against them, if you see them from further away you can jump into photo world and terror shock them
