As someone who has never seen a video of yours before. I have to say you have some REALLY GOOD presentation skills. The music matches up so good with every moment and the effects with the text was such a nice touch, when I seen the toxic caves coming to an end I completely forgot there was more video and more mod to see. You covered everything so thoroughly and yet it never felt like anything was dragging on it nearly felt like an experience. You should really pat yourself on the back. Its a cool mod without the video but you captured the essence and feeling of everything and even still displayed some creativity in your showcasing. You really WORKED on this video and the effort shows. I think the whole team behind the mod would agree that you displayed their mod the best it could be displayed.
This has to be one of the most insane mods I have ever seen. Like there have been countless cave mods even before 1.17, but this one creates very alien environments you wouldn't expect from a normal Minecraft cave mod. I'm interested in seeing what else this mod will have in the future.
It would be nice to know a full list of the music used in the background, honestly, but good job with the overall showcase! Now for my personal thoughts on the mod: I really liked the Primordial Caves, Abyssal Chasm, and the Forlorn Hollows. Those seem like they fit the theme of Minecraft more than the Toxic Caves or the Magnetic Caves. I don't really like high technological themes, but I'll accept the submarine as a means of underwater travel for now... I just think Minecraft mods should try to stick to something a bit more grounded in basic technology and fantasy themes like melee weapons and magic. The weapons in the Abyssal Chasms do a good job of this, as well as the Forlorn Hollows, but the Toxic Caves try to lean more towards Fallout technology and I don't like that personally.
Just from the showcase, I'm gonna guess that the best progression would be vanilla (get diamond gear to prep for other biomes and a riptide trident for abyssal chasm) primordial cave (optional) magnetic cave (get thanos glove to cheese things in toxic cave from distance) toxic cave (get raygun for super tanky boss) abyssal chasm (try to get the magical conch for the watcher and forsaken in forlorn hollows and the ortholance to deal with groups of underzealots) Forlorn Hollows Clean house, let no Underzealot remains.
Dude your production quality is insane. The immersion you give with the fitting sounds and music (some of which I recognized) is so cool along with learning about this complex mod
This video is so well-made! The filming, the montage, the background music, even the subtitles, it's all just perfect! The best mod review I've seen so far!
This… this is an absolutely fantastic showcase for what is currently my favorite Minecraft Mod. You go more in depth than any other showcase I’ve seen and offer your own unique dissection of each cave. It’s fantastically well made
Something I genuinely love about this showcase is how human it feels. It’s obvious you know the recipes but there’s points where you mess up, but just keep going ( or how you’re essentially dead the entire time ). Most mod showcases feel very… rehersed, static I suppose. It’s a nice change of pace, I hope to see more of this in the future.
Both an amazing showcase as an amazing mod! This is the sort of stuff I would love to see added to Minecraft. From creative and crazy primordial caves to the unsettling Abyssal Depths, and the Magnetic cave’s interesting mechanics, all filled with both real - life o spired mobs and mechanics, to outright leviathans and other imaginary creatures.
.......wha WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK THIS IS THE REVIEW, THE REVIEW I WAS LUCING FOR. only 1 thounsands subs?! wtf, you mate really surprised me. with this level, i could even understand all things quark could do (fore reference, i never found an understandable review for quark and its addon, that is why i mention it) THIS IS JUST SO GOODDD. to bad that i know that making this quality needs lot time.....
Love how each biome can be described to: • Don't wear Iron Armor unless you wanna die • Jurassic Park but World • Probably the future of humanity • Basically Subnautica • Hell, not as scary as the last biome but still Hell
everything about this mod, from the soundtrack to the visuals to the mechanics, is done so well. and this showcase is amazing!! thank you so much for the fun and informational infodump, it was exactly what i needed to get started on a new world without being overwhelmed.
This man made an entire dedicated documentary of 5 entire biomes of a mod in Minecraft, going into great detail in all of them. David Attenborough-worthy content.
You should also link the music used in this video. Especially the Calamity tracks by DMDokuro, he's stated (in an old video) that he wants credit or a link at the very least.
Just found your channel, this video has been amazing. Between the editing, depth of information showcased, and some of the jokes and gags, I enjoyed it the whole way through. Definitely super useful for anyone wanting to learn about this mod, thanks for spending the time and effort to make it!
if it's not too much too ask, could you possibly provide a list of music you used throughout the video? If you could that would be great. Amazing vid btw can't wait to play this mod!
I can't believe this mod just went ahead and did exactly what Mojang couldn't do for almost literal years at this point, and added a genuinely creative and intricate new heaping pile of features and cool things without having it be intrusive to regular gameplay that much.
I really do love the philosophy of this mod. Its alot of new stuff, but the new stuff has a purpose. This makes the game feel more in line with the progression of something like terraria, where you are always trying to get better armor, but theres fun stuff alongside it that are just as useful
Hey great video man! I have some criticism though, the text is kinda hard to read at times, though I get trying to immerse us with the setting, it makes the text pretty tought to read, especially when the color matches the background.
Hey a little recommendation for the Forlorn Hollows You can use music from The binding of Isaac mostly all Gehenna themes it matches perfectly with the red dark theme Also another song from Tboi Forgotten Fables
This is deadass the best and most detailed mod showcase I've seen for a while. That's all I need to say. Even if I can't play modded, I thank you for this.
This is very well made, and as a showcase it does very well to maintain intrigue! A lot of other showcases I've seen are moreso only descriptions, but you've done this with theatrics that don't come off as obnoxious either. Huge props! In the future, would you mind adding edge width to the text? I'm not sure if that's something that exist with the minecraft font, but it can be hard to read sometimes, as well as the water effect on text sometimes being over abstracting. That said, I do love how you play around with the text and having it sometimes animated! I'd love to see what you might put together in the future!
I think that there's an edge width on the text during the toxic caves portion. The part that I think would be helped by edge width is the very beginning segment where the white text is overlapping the UI. If not that, then adding the blur behind it similarly to the text during the magnet caves could also be good for visibility. All this to say, these are only my suggestions and things to keep aware of. I understand you make these videos for fun and I know how it feels having someone breathing down your neck with 'do this, change that', so I'll let you alone now XD [Edit: deleted a portion of my comment about the nuclear explosion and photo sensitivity cuz I realized I was wrong about like the entire thing 😅oh well]
@@gooeykit6074 that's just fine. i actually appreciate a lot of the criticism given here and throughout the comments. it's an important element when it comes to being a creator so i can ensure future videos are better than the last. i really love seeing comments like these, that not only analyze my video and editing style, but also give me some pointers. thanks, really. Apologies for being a stereotype, and I'm sure someone else has already said it, but I'm unable to restrain myself on this specific subject; pterosaurs are not dinosaurs, not all prehistoric reptiles are dinosaurs. Just one of those things that bugs me, again, sorry for probably adding to the pile. It's like... a weird tick of mine to compulsively point out things that aren't actually dinosaurs and I can't relax unless I say it.
I really want to see this worked into a modpack. Having to actually explore these specific biomes with their own challenges for unique resources, instead of just strip mining for whatever you need, would make the game way more interesting. Progression becomes something more than just sitting in your base crafting new recipes, like an idle game or something.
Alex keeps making AMAZING mods for us to be amazed at! Each cave can be its own mod! A shame it doesn't work for shaders yet, but I'm sure it will be soon! Can't wait for its future!

Just from the showcase, I'm gonna guess that the best progression would be
vanilla
(get diamond gear to prep for other biomes and a riptide trident for abyssal chasm)
primordial cave
(optional)
magnetic cave
(get thanos glove to cheese things in toxic cave from distance)
toxic cave
(get raygun for super tanky boss)
abyssal chasm
(try to get the magical conch for the watcher and forsaken in forlorn hollows and the ortholance to deal with groups of underzealots)
Forlorn Hollows
Clean house, let no Underzealot remains.
2:22 that slice was personal
Dude your production quality is insane. The immersion you give with the fitting sounds and music (some of which I recognized) is so cool along with learning about this complex mod
thanks. stay tuned if you're into more of these kinds of videos. nearly done with my next one!
@@greztrez2366 do you have a track list for this video?
This video is so well-made! The filming, the montage, the background music, even the subtitles, it's all just perfect! The best mod review I've seen so far!
thank you! it's really appreciated, reading comments here at 3 am lol...
That pfp looksnlike the socksfor1 dog
Hands down the best mod showcase i ever watched.
Calm, very informative, slightly humorous and with great shots, ambiance and music. Great vid!
Is that fucking music from Overlord 2 I hear? NO fucking way. That's amazing.
no way!!!! another overlord enjoyer!!!! it's actually from the first overlord game (:
haha yeah. They share similar tracks I think- but both games are great!!@@greztrez2366
Great editing!🥰 perfect cinematography and showcase of all the mods. Legit can’t find a more thorough review of the caves and mods!
This… this is an absolutely fantastic showcase for what is currently my favorite Minecraft Mod. You go more in depth than any other showcase I’ve seen and offer your own unique dissection of each cave. It’s fantastically well made
The Nuke and Nuclear Furnace part combined with the music really spoke to me
Thanks for the in-depth review! Also, I was not aware of the Candy Cave being added in.
29:12 I love how the developer didn't even try to hide it, they just straight up added weed to the game.
This is genuinely the most in-depth mod showcase I've ever seen. Props to you
1:00:44 I absolutely LOVE the bubble transition from SpongeBob!
Also, could we get the playlist of the music used in the video please?
Both an amazing showcase as an amazing mod! This is the sort of stuff I would love to see added to Minecraft. From creative and crazy primordial caves to the unsettling Abyssal Depths, and the Magnetic cave’s interesting mechanics, all filled with both real - life o spired mobs and mechanics, to outright leviathans and other imaginary creatures.
.......wha WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK
THIS IS THE REVIEW, THE REVIEW I WAS LUCING FOR.
only 1 thounsands subs?! wtf, you mate really surprised me. with this level, i could even understand all things quark could do (fore reference, i never found an understandable review for quark and its addon, that is why i mention it)
THIS IS JUST SO GOODDD.
to bad that i know that making this quality needs lot time.....
This is an incredible showcase. I was looking around for a decent one for Alex's Caves and this really helped me decide on getting the mod, thanks!
You should totally do more mod showcases like this, your formatting his amazing
25:45 you don't know that subterranodons are pterosaurs, pterosaurs are dinosaurs' closest relatives but not fact true dinosaurs
Not really, birds are the closest relatives to dinosaurs.
I was going to say it, I’m glad you did😅 (pterosaurs are not dinosaurs) not the bird thing, that commenter is just confused 😂
Love how each biome can be described to:
• Don't wear Iron Armor unless you wanna die
• Jurassic Park but World
• Probably the future of humanity
• Basically Subnautica
• Hell, not as scary as the last biome but still Hell
i love the use of terraria and calamity mod music, it really fits with these new biomes!
everything about this mod, from the soundtrack to the visuals to the mechanics, is done so well. and this showcase is amazing!! thank you so much for the fun and informational infodump, it was exactly what i needed to get started on a new world without being overwhelmed.
2:20
I love the name of that sword 😂
26:56 Using TotK Chasm music was SO smart here! Considering the flora here tends to match the plants found under Hyrule!
59:35 "Hey, Watson! Cinderblo-"
1:07:04 That's the Boss Music from Super Mario Sunshine being used for the Hullbreaker
I didn't expect to hear some of the Mod of Redemption OST in a Minecraft mod showcase, but it's a welcome surprise!
00:04 Help- I can't stop laughing- 👽👽👽
I can't believe this mod just went ahead and did exactly what Mojang couldn't do for almost literal years at this point, and added a genuinely creative and intricate new heaping pile of features and cool things without having it be intrusive to regular gameplay that much.
I know this is random, but I’d love to know all the music you used in this video! You’re choices really helped set the mood for each cave
I really do love the philosophy of this mod. Its alot of new stuff, but the new stuff has a purpose. This makes the game feel more in line with the progression of something like terraria, where you are always trying to get better armor, but theres fun stuff alongside it that are just as useful
I love this part cuz he made forsaken a boss intro 1:31:11
He does it for the Hullbreaker, too.
1:07:05
Imagine if the vanilla bosses looked as good as these modded ones
Hey great video man! I have some criticism though, the text is kinda hard to read at times, though I get trying to immerse us with the setting, it makes the text pretty tought to read, especially when the color matches the background.
Calling it right now!
Magnetic caves- Redstone engineers
Primordial caves- Barbarians
Nuclear caves- Griefers
Abyssal caves- Explorers
Forlorn caves- Lunatics
I love that bit about the museums, really makes me wish it was a voice video.
Is there a music list for this video?
Bro that happy ass music that's playing when they show the hullbreaker! WHY IS IT SO DAMN JOLLY LIKE IT WON'T RIP YOU APART!
I really like this showcase! I love how in-depth it is so that we don't miss ANY details. Also, great choice of music, it fits very well!
I love that the altered subterranodon is a reference to the original look of the Fossils and Archeology Pteranodon
yoo, splatoon 3 ambient music?? freakin based (on the magnetic cave section)
Wait a minute. The Amber Curiosity skins are references to the OLD version of the Fossils and Archaeology mod. fascinating.
Hey a little recommendation for the Forlorn Hollows
You can use music from The binding of Isaac mostly all Gehenna themes it matches perfectly with the red dark theme
Also another song from Tboi Forgotten Fables
This is deadass the best and most detailed mod showcase I've seen for a while. That's all I need to say. Even if I can't play modded, I thank you for this.
Anyone have a list of all the music?
Bros proceeded to drop the hardest mod ever. Basically Ark, Subnautica, Fallout, M A G N E T, and Nightmare fuel caves.
As a console player I see this as an absolute L for me
Common console player L
I love how you stylized the vid and the depth you went. Great job!
The forlorn area reminds me of an alien biome I created. It too is dark and gloomy, and houses a mole like civilization and freaky monsters
Mod developers be putting more love and effort into their works than Mojang itself these days
What music did you pick for abyssal chasm?
Love the mermaid themes to it, well besides the Super Mario Sunshine Boss Music.
One abyssal song is that Siren theme from Terraria's Calamity mod (not her boss fight theme, but her idle theme)
@streamsofconsciousness8519 thanks I'll have to check out the game
I understand you make these videos for fun and I know how it feels having someone breathing down your neck with 'do this, change that', so I'll let you alone now XD
[Edit: deleted a portion of my comment about the nuclear explosion and photo sensitivity cuz I realized I was wrong about like the entire thing 😅oh well]
@@gooeykit6074 that's just fine. i actually appreciate a lot of the criticism given here and throughout the comments. it's an important element when it comes to being a creator so i can ensure future videos are better than the last.
i really love seeing comments like these, that not only analyze my video and editing style, but also give me some pointers. thanks, really. (:
54:10 This reminds me of those old mods that add huge TNT's
This mod is insanely cool. A deserved 2 hour showcase
Progression becomes something more than just sitting in your base crafting new recipes, like an idle game or something.
for..i think your first mod review? this is wayyyyy tooo gooood.
wish to see if you continue doing reviews,

C. Montgomery Burns near an unstable Nuclear Furnace: "No no, Simpson it's not scheduled for cleaning"
What a great showcase
Alex keeps making AMAZING mods for us to be amazed at! Each cave can be its own mod! A shame it doesn't work for shaders yet, but I'm sure it will be soon! Can't wait for its future!
Can you add a list of music used in the description or something??
If your homies won't sit down to watch a two hour documenting video on a minecraft mod, you need to get a homie for that.
Really well put together! Great stuff!
This showcase is really good, but that "f you sword" is gold, i couldn't stop laughing from it 🤣
Oh uhm sorry for the correction but pterosaurs are not dinosaurs they are flying reptiles!
🤓
please keep making mod showcase videos like this, these are amazing
