I thought the amount of fear I had for zen after the 4-1 start for jack was unparalleled, I soon found out that that fear would be overshadowed by my own fear for Jacks's well-being in seconds. This dude is nuts...

How can he be this much better
I’m not sure if appjack was a little off or not, without being able to see his POV, but it’s possible. Sometimes he plays a little more hesitant when he has a ton of (maybe too much) respect for his opponent. He’s already made a video declaring Zen to be potentially a #1 player, so we know the respect is there for sure. Also, idk how much experience he’s had dueling Zen, since Zen’s newer to 1v1, so that combined with the respect could’ve played a role.
Then again, Zen is insane, so he really may just be that much better. As of now this seems to be true.
My mind is blown these past 3 showmatches. Johnny said it best, it's as if he sees the game in slow motion. Somehow always knows where his opponent is, never miscalculates who is closest to the ball, summons power out of nowhere using the power of baguettes. It doesn't make sense to me either, only possibility is he's the chosen one

@@1maonade Appjack *is* probably off. It is the middle of the Winter RLCS split so he is likely focusing more on scrims and 2v2 ranked than 1s. I mean, if he was grinding 1s more than just a few games a day he would be in the Top 10, but he isn't from what Johnny said at the start.
The problem as well is that as Johnny said Jack is a highly adaption focused player. Jack was dominating EU in the 1s scene while he was there because he also played them in ranked so much, now he is in NA he is doing the same when he does 1v1s with NA players. Compared to prior to being in NA having a rather meh record against NA players.

@@alecthomson5027 They were too young to play in RLCS so they went on alt-accounts to bypass the age restriction. RLCS gives out a one year ban to any player who does this starting from the time they reach the minimum age to play RLCS. They both are banned for the same reason. Zen is unbanned in a month or two (I think) and NWPO in like six months or so (I think).

@@gregansbootstrap5352 Dark is just not consistent enough for ones rn. He has an insanely high ceiling but he just doesn't perform at that ceiling often (we've seen what happens when he does). His fundamentals are lacking as well.

Jack hardly even play 1s for months now, it's the sadest thing for me in RL. I used to enjoy daily uploads of 1s games, then Jack fell off his 1s grind, focused on 3s, and now GenG is the world's best team with him at the front, and yet I'd rather see him pick up 1s again. No doubt for me Jack can be no1 in 1s if he wasn't taken away by 3s mode :/

Deal.... absolute.... lord. I love AppJack. I think he's a top 3 player in RLCS as a complete and all-around player. Zen made him look like a C1 or C2... Absolutely insane.
When you are young and full of confidence with natural talent and a thirst for improvement, it's natural that you'll throw a lot of caution to the wind and just do what you do, we've seen it in the past with players like Scrub and First, both paved the way for new levels of the game. As they grow and start to play competitively, the carefree approach has to be tempered and room made for risk management, team style etc. I haven't seen a prodigal 1's player, or player in general that hasn't had the edge taken off their game as they mature into their career, it just becomes consistently good enough to compete at the highest levels.
That said, if RLCS was full of players playing with the flow, speed and precision as Zen does today.... well, that would be .... something :)

Jack always said Zen was a great player, for as long as I've followed his YT. And jack tbh does say that about many players, but he always talked about Zen like "you're gonna be surprised how good he is" and it's kinda cool how that prediciton came true.

A pogo is a straight shot on goal and or when you bounce your car on the ground and the ball also bounces on the ground and after you keep on going with whatever you were doing. Thats a pogo
A plan B is a recovery. So if it goes straight in the net its a pogo if its used to recover from lets say a failed flip reset and the ball bounces ontop of your car and after you continue your freestyle. thats considered a plan b.
