Very excited about the larger world. Character creator looks good. I've already pre-ordered 2x copies (one for my 20 yr old son).

I want to create a short black fat cat is my p a w n. I want to make him sound like stereotypical mobster but I don't think there is an accent option to do that ☹️ maybe mods
This is the hardest boss fight of the game with how much time you'll take doing this.

The showcase of the CC absolutely put any doubts I had to bed. The fact you can go as in depth as deciding whether or not your Arisen or Pawn have missing teeth is insane. That said, the little bit of info about the Bluemoon Tower is interesting, especially since it looks like there's a Bluemoon Tower in 2.
What about the bitter black Isle tho?
@@dmonsterlove We don't know if that'll be coming back yet. We have seen footage of The Immortal's Set going as far back as the first trailer, and in a more recent video (I think it was the one explaining the sphinx) there was a snippet of footage showing some leapworms. So, we know that things found in BBI are definitely coming back, but that's about it.

Anyone else thinking of making Guts or Rudeus from jobless reincarnation? Or what other anime characters yall have in mind. Trynna get inspiration
May just go the tried and true Big Badass Warrior (Guts) and plucky little witch (Shierke) combo. There are other stuff that I have thought about such as 2b and 9s. Not Just anime, but I’ve gotten inspiration from other games too. Elden Ring has a remix of the first combo in Blaidd and Ranni the Witch. I also thought about an Arisen Marika and her Shadow Maleketh. May need to wait a bit for some kind of Wolfkin mod, though. Still, duo combos are endless.
Kirito and Asuna from SAO though I'm not sure how feasible a no magic party would be if making an sao type party. Other Characters would be Sasuke for a sword lightning combo or the Quincy from bleach for a magick spirit archer type of character. Also Demon Slayer characters can be turned into game characters pretty easily with their elemental breathing
It looks like the slots for clothes under your armor is gone, but each vocation has atleast 4 unique armor sets.
Ya a little sad about that. But i guess they felt streamlining made more sense. What I'm really butthurt about is that dual-weapon classes are gone );

The character creator for Dragon’s Dogma was pretty ahead of it’s time so they definitely know what they’re doing. Looking forward to it~
Its looking more and more like itll be a finished version of DD. As in they are adding all the cut content, updating the graphics and adding QoL improvements and thats exactly what i want! Can not wait for this game!

I think my main character will be a short magic lancer and my pawn will be a giant warrior lion.

@@atrainn it's gonna be great! When I played Dragons Dogma 1, I had the same set up, but my character was an assassin and my main pawn was a giant 2 handed Warrior male.
Only question that matters to me at this point...can you change "bust" size again, and can you change "bulge" size this time?

Have mine pre-ordered and itching to play. Saw a video showing you need a pawn or your character with wood speak, trait maybe to talk to the elves.
Definitely excited for this game - I just hope my PC will be able to handle the thing!

Games need to learn from Baldurs Gate and Dragons Dogma, in terms of early demonstration/ accessibility.

The one thing i hate about DD1 is having a fat face and a fat neck in cutscenes even though i didn't make it that way, idk if anyone else has had the same problem or not.

4:21 Admittedly the Beastren race still isn't as accurate as it is in the original concept. The abnormally huge bulking arms and giant stature and it doesn't seem to have a hair option (as of this showcasing) that makes the head look like a proper lions mane instead of a beard with long hair, they're still very human shaped in by comparison. Tbh i can understand why they probably don't. If they were that big they wouldn't get around easy through door and would struggle to fight in corridors so they shrunk them to relative human size to alleviate that struggle. Still think it's a missed opportunity to not try to make that that big and make it work somehow.

Finally a rpg with a good character creator.
The khajit are cool and all, but man, I need something like an humanoid Insect race or maybe lizardfolk (this one is almost imposible because lizardmen are enemies in the first game), getting tired of fantasy games having only Human, Elf, Dwarf choices.
When I make my 2 play through in dragon dogma 2 I. March I’ll play as a beastren and make my character look like lion-o 😁🔥🦁

Now that they added some insane new DRM tot he games im less inclined to get it, capcom shooting themselves in the foot with that crap..it supposedly causes massive performance problems.

Can you change yours and your pawn's face later ?
In DD Dark Arisen, there was an option on the main menu screen to adjust their appearance. You also have an in-game barber shop where you can change hairstyles etc. You can change more things about your appearance for more money if using the barber shop.

Did we play the same game? SF6 character creation was trash, just so limited. The clothing options were trash too.
Having other players hiring your pawn is actually a thing in DD, so yeah, don't create an abomination like those you see in TES or DS as a pawn thinking it is funny, you will regret it.
Japanese devs are so much better at doing character creators than western studios.

@@GreenSabre187 its pretty stupid is what it is, as if basic biology doesn't exist, there's literally just two options male and female, your either XX or XY minus those with a special syndrome having extra X chromosomes, but otherwise despite that they're still male or female the only difference is they often have far more poor physical developments and infertility being very high.
It's pandering to the idea that there are not two genders and yes genders, because it comes from the word genus meaning birth sex in greek, either way it subscribes to that notion. It's entirely political in nature despite the very limited amount of people worldwide who claim they're neither because somehow they're no longer human apparently or really anything... considering especially mammals since they also follow the two chromosome setup but not every single creature does if i remember correctly, just a very large portion do.

Okay so I keep seeing 'the races: Human and Beastren' whenever someone addresses the CC in this game. So did they *REALLY* leave out Elves despite the game having an actual racial selection in the CC this time 'round? We're really going with the 'humans, but they can have pointed ears' concept yet again and calling this the 'ultimate character creator'? What a rip-off. What's the point of excluding elves from the CC when the game seems to make this big 'ole hubbub about the hidden village of the elves and their indecipherable language?
Yet another game that pretends men and woman aren't real things. I'm curious how the characters will describe the ogres prefernces for men and women if gendered terms are being localized out.
I could see them keep the same lore without realizing 😅
Especially since the original game did have a very bare bone system where you can dress up to be the opposite sex for bandits and Ogres. To be honest if the creator here didn't mention Ogres still use the line I thought they stripped it out entirely.
im guessing if you have masculine body type theyll refer to you as man and vice versa and ogres will react excitedly if you have feminine body type, they just do these things as a bare minimum to not upset pc crowd i think. we all know masculine and feminine is just code for male and female body type.
