Hi Greg. This seems to become a very emotive topic for a lot of people. I think when you say "you have to hit them first" is incredibly important advice. If people pair that advice with a projectile that hits hard enough then the end result will be happy hunters in the future. Cheers
I went with a Browning. A Xbolt Hells Canyon Speed Long Range 280AI. 1@8 26-inch barrel. Topped it with a Leupold VX6 HD 4x24x52mm TMOA reticle. Load development with Hornady ELD X 162 gr and 175 gr. And a Berger 168 gr Classic Hunter.
It all depends on the game your hunting! For more then one game size then you are better to choice a little bigger cartridge if your not going to 2 cartridges
