I Completed Every Ending in the Game! - Planet Crafter

- Hello Everyone,
Planet Crafter has left early access and introduced the new mammal terraforming stage, online co-op, 3 new biomes, and so much more!
Today we got 5 TTI which unlocks the extraction launch pad and completes the final terraforming stage.
Planet Crafter has a total of 3 endings that were released during the 1.0 update.
We start out with the Sentinel Corp ending, which sees us destroying a warden abnormally with a massive explosive so they can get close enough to the planet and pick us up.
Next up we did the Wardens portal ending where we had to go to the Cenote Biome where we obtained a key detector. With that, we had to find 10 keys and we were able to open the portal to escape.
Lastly, we did the Smugglers ending which we needed a whopping 500k Terra Tokens, the fastest way to get Terra tokens is to open rarity 5 portals and search the wreaks for the vaults, and then leave and repeat.

Some more background info about what crime you did (if any) that placed you into this predicament would be nice. Or few more bits throughout the game about how brutaly corporate Sentinel is. Or who is Riley and why they risk helping you? What is their motivation?
The endings... they suck. Not because they are not happy, but because they are so vague. Even just small tidbit like with sentinel ending mentioning that "your case will be reviewed within 5-7 years" or with the smugglers ending adding that you are now fugitive, sentinel has strong influence on all civilized worlds and so now you are just low rank involuntary member of the smugger ship?
As it is, those endings are litteraly "Well, after all this, something happened to you - The end."
True, it is missing so much info. I think the closest we got to seeing how bad Sentinel is, is if you follow Iskhel's story line. But honestly idk who Riley is either, or why the wardens accept you as they do not like humans and they even build that energy draining device.
Jay walking. Only cross with the light or you go to a dead world with just a scanner gun.

Well Eff Sentinel ... if they want to be like that I will stay on the planet and keep it for myself.
This game and every youtuber who plays it is soooo underrated in my opinion
It really is, I wish more people played it as it is one of my favorite games.
I love this game. Been in it since early access with over 600 hours. Planet is beautiful. Game was a lot of fun. I hate the endings. All of them. Absolutely depressing. After all that time and effort, you end up with nothing. No reward, no reprieve, no hope. It's just God awful. Don't know what Miju was thinking.
Agreed, atleast they could have made the cutscenes a little more interesting. I get they are a 2 person team but maybe they should have just focused on less endings or spent a little more time on it. Also, what are we gonna do with half a million tokens now? or the warden keys as they are useless and taking up space.
It is a spin on endings. It is depressing but more real in the fact that life isn't fair, and most people do not get a happy ending. I am sure it will be expanded upon later.
@@GDPDuncan Lol. About 2 million tokens and I haven’t sold all my fuses. Yeah. 😅 I am thinking since Miju said they will continue to work on the game that we may end up with more stuff available in the trade rockets and maybe also in the portal wrecks. I am always hoping for more blueprints, furniture, and new critters, flowers, trees. Maybe they will reconsider at least one or two of their bummer endings. Sure, life is hard. But this is a game. And to offer players nothing but more hardship after they succeeded in overcoming hardship seems like a bad choice. They wouldn’t even have to put more effort into cinematics. Just change the depressing dialogue.
Maybe the endings will have more meanings in the update, because don't forget this started put with 2 people and now 8.
Idk if they will change the outcome, but most likely more details. But the biggest problem most people have is how every ending feels like a bad ending as it all ends sad.

for the Warden key`s are no Special tools needed, you ca find them without any. Yes you can 10 of the 11 find at the beginning of the game.

@@uwe2749 You absolutely can. But because i'd followed the Wardens' questline in an earlier patch, all of the prior warden keys were locked into the necessary pedestals. I needed the 10 that had been patched in along with the new chip specifically for the ending.
Just finished the game. And these all all very VERY depressing endings. I tried looking for a happy one without any success. Are the devs of this game okay? It seem like they basically lost the will to go on at this point.
For a game about bringing back life to a whole planet, this endings were pretty lifeless
It does fit the rest of the story, as non of it was happy. Your personal story is that of a prisoner being pretty much left for dead like many other prisoners before you. then the wardens story is pretty sad as well since they seem to be cursed to die no matter what.
So to awnser your question, no the couple that worked on this are probably not okay.
My question is that why leave that awesome base and go back to jail. Now that I've seen all the endings I hate them, all that work for nothing and you can't even keep playing.
I personally would a prefer an option where we could maybe make a starship using warden technology or something to escape into the unknown...
That is a stupid idea.
Remember we're a wanted criminal under "work" until the debt is paid. Even if you escape, chances are you'll be snuff out from space. If you saw the corp ending, their fleet is a pretty vast. And just like IRL, you won't get any far.

But the thing is all the endings are pretty much bad so another ending where the player decides to wing it on his own is much different than putting their fate in the hands of the corp/warden/pirates
It the devs are planning a sequel, I guarantee all paths lead back to Sentinel Corp.
They are planning to continue updating with new content for a couple years, also once they are done with this planet they will be working on DLC that adds new planets they said.
I like the endings but like you said I wish for more too

Ending 1: Remain a prisoner of Sentinel Corp
Ending 2: Portal to the most depressing/fatalistic culture ever (presumably you die)
Ending 3: Sold into pirate slavery
There are no happy endings in Planet Crafter, but there are Endings.
Staying is the only happy ending
What are access cards? Have not seen them at all and have already cleaned out every wreck and their vaults. Got nowhere near that many fuses either. Also, how much does super fabric sell for?
Access Cards can be obtained when you go through the portal where you find randomly generated wrecks (on higher tiers atleast) this structure can be unlocked after reaching the required TI
and I dont know from the top of my head how much they sell for but it wasnt a lot that is for sure. For Terra Tokens you are better off exploring the randomly generated wrecks
It is great game but ending is sadly bad hope that developers make it better
These endings are AWFUL! Thanks for sharing them. I thought the Stranded Deep ending was bad but I'd rather have that than this.

These endings are quite not satisfying... Better if I not finish it.
They could have pushed themselves with a little better backstory and especially endings! Let's say we could have met Riley, who personally comes to pick us up and greet us on the spaceship. Or the Warden could see that a human had made the planet habitable and there would be hope. Or the smugglers could have bailed us out in a firefight against Sentinel Corp.
But it's a quickly finished clash of nothings.
I'm quite disappointed right now.

I just finished the game and did the Sentinel Corp ending. If i used all the wardens key to do the paradise stuff does that mean I can't possibly do the Wardens ending? I wanted to get this game 100% and now I am disappointed that I might not be able to do it. Also gutted that I used all my terra tokens not realising that I could use them for another ending so that will be a mission to get aswell.
There are 13 new keys scattered around the world so you can complete the warden ending and open lost paradise (I did both as well)
@GDPDuncan Oh perfect I'll have to try and find them, I had the blueprint for the wardens key tool but it vanished when I went to do the Lost Paradise, also spent all my terra tokens so the smugglers one will be a grind haha
This game reminds me of Satisfactory way back when that game first started Early Access. Satisfactory has come so far since then. I wish I could say the same for this game.
They should have added a 4th ending where you start over on a different planet, but machines are less effective or something.
Yeah, it would be the perfect job for the warp core. If you manage to activate it you get teleported to another barren planet.
That would have been the continuation, not the ending. If you picked one of the 3 endings they would set you on a new planet like before but with new procedurally created biomes, different map, etc. I am just not going to leave and end the game and see if they change something now that it is out of beta.
@@davidstufflebean3285 Yeah you have a fair point. Since you mentioned you wanna see what the devs will do now its out of beta, they mentioned we will be getting new areas on this planet and later down the line get full new planets (It did sound like the other planets will be paid dlc though)
For what I've seen the best ending is going with Sentinel Corp IMO. The wardens literally say "you've chosen wrong buddy" and the Smugglers are apparently much worse than Sentinel Corp. At least with them they say you did well we MIGHT forgive your crimes later o k (could be a lie, but seems the best outcome).

There are 3 species but each one has 6 variants (mostly just adds different spikes on their head or back), sizes, skin patterns and so on.

Word of advice. Just stay on the planet and enjoy the views, populate the map with animals and trees. Don't leave.
You don’t leave anyway. Every time you’re brought right back to your world. I’ve even crated a submerged Atlantis as a lot of the technology works under water. Butterflies, bees, and frogs fly around underwater, rockets take off and land, and the portal to wrecked ships works just fine. Sentinel corp comes looking for me, I’m hiding under water lol. All that time creating breathable o2, and I wanna live under water lol.

How many hours did it take you to get to the end?
Un sure because I have been playing on this save file since the early access launch. I spend easily over 100 hour in this world but that wont accuratly reflect how long it takes to reach the ending as that was added during a recent update

My daughter recently got the game and I got it too.
I'm 23 hours in and NOWHERE NEAR the end game.
Part of that is the learning curve, but when I saw your world I was thinking thousands of hours.
If that was the case, I would have to bow out.
Is there a speed run record for the game?
(Not sure how anyone would 'speed run' this game, but I'm curious.)
@@kevincaruthers5412 It is a pretty long game still yeah, I recently started playing it with a friend and are around 10 hours in and even with the knowledge some parts take a little while, the further you get the easier it will be though as later you can automate most tasks.
As for speedruns I am not sure if there are any, I wouldn't wanna start one that is for sure haha. I love this game but beating it fast doesn't feel possible.
You shouldve escape the planet throu the Wardens portal first becose you dont need to destroy the sphere to be able to doo that
how you got 350k when you started at 5,79tti and ended at 8,30tti?
Me and my girlfriend play both together and I am doing all the machines and automation, and set up two rockets that are constantly making fabrics and energy fusion cells, and both of them sells on cooldown, and she is just farming portals constantly, and we got like 150k at the same amount of time as you.
I got my main money from portal runs, I would locate the vault and leave (I noticed they generally spawn 1 room below the enterance room, not always but like 95% of the time) I ofcourse take the chests I find on my way. since the vaults on rarity 5 are loaded with money (most of the time) it is the fastest way. But domt get me wrong this still took me a few hours which is why I ended on the 8tti. on the side I have bots auto craft and sell stuff and i trew in extra rocket engines as I found them in the portals.
This game should evolve into structure building, society establishing and farming simulator where humans colonise this planet otherwise this game is just a knock off subnautica
its a shame that all the endings really suck and you don't get a happy ending for all your hard effort or time dedicated to the game...anti-climatic let down.

They hired 6 more people, but I think that was more recently so true this is probably the reason.
This game is good but those endings are trash . Super super lazy on the development on that part . IM SO GLAD I came to see the other 2 endings which are exponentially longer to get and the actual same lazy ending with a lick of paint at the end .
yeah, they are not the greatest especially the smugglers ending. With how many people dislike the endings I wonder if they will change them since they now have 6 more people working there
Gona be honest seeing this ending to a otherwise great game is comparable to season 8 of game of thrones absolutely pathetic endings

Now I don't even feel the need to play the game to the finish. Idk if that's a good or bad thing now, though, after the 3 endings, why would you think they could extend the game anywhere?
It's called the 3 _endings_ after all... Though like our Earthly oligarchs, Miju could put us on another lifeless planet and make us do it all over again, but somehow a little different?

While I don't think they will expend on the endings, there are a few areas in the world where it looks like they will add new biomes.

Maybe replayability, but what I realized after watching your video was that I don't want to rebuild everything I did getting up to frogs or something (Idr, I've been playing Satisfactory for a couple of months and it may have pushed out exactly what I was up to in Planet Crafter from my little brain... I did stop checking for updates for a while after frogs... Gameplay seemed like diminishing returns...(!))
So even if there are new areas to explore, I need the fiction of working towards a goal, even so... Call me too masculine, needing a reason to do things... 🤔 But ty for the video, I was researching what I would need to do given the game changed since I last played.
The game seems a perfect analogy to a girl that was so hard to take to bed... Then finally after so much youthful effort (your older self would know better) she wasn't all that, and most of the effort was completely wasted time, energy and money.

with the new areas they could expend on the story or introduce new resources to build new machines. Though since we reached the final stage I doubt it would have anything to do with that, which would probably make it unnecesarry for a lot of players.
But exploring and discovering is also part of the game, also activating the warp core would be pretty cool, could lead to a new place to fix up or be a happy ending unlike these ones.
WTF?! All the endings are bad. Bad as in your character is lead to some sort of misfortune or sad life.
yeah, best ending is just to stay on the planet.
