I love how surreal this is. He's singing about his heroin usage backed by a crowd of gospel choir, brass and string sections, while his band is sonic-tripping. It's like something straight out of an acid trip. I love you forever Jason and will always fondly remember that tour.
i have all there albums but this is by a long way spiritualized greatest performance ever and probably the best ever on jools holland by any1 all bow 2 the church of the spaceman
there's so many bands done that title, funnily enough the 1's i know are ace tunes, but i love the lyrics on the Beatles CT & the ace bass-line just everything about it, great tune!!
If you only have a casual acquaintance with a band, don't offer some stupid comment about a song you are hearing live for the first time. "Oh, the guitar playing could be better". You sound like the typical modern millennial idiot who can't appreciate one of the most underrated bands of the 90s since they weren't there to experience them at the time. Please keep your uninformed, ignorant opinion to yourself about a genre (alt rock) that you claim you were there to hear firsthand but appear to know nothing about....
Beyond amazing. That ending...wow

Dr John?
I don't know why so many people write songs called "come together" but this is the best of the lot!
Life is worth living 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

Class never gets old. Amazing
Pure class❤
Can still remember seeing them that night and was hooked.
What a grand performance.
Saw them live with the orchestra and choir was epic no other band like them.

great version of this song. Shoo!
Superb performance
f@cking great the Spaceman's a Genius!!!
AMAZING!! C.MON!!!!
It doesn't get any better that this.Kicks the shit out of bands like Radiohead and Coldplay!!The most under artists from the UK.
spicetwo Spiritualized and Primal Scream are both the absolute best of the best as far as rock from the past 25-30 years, both just mind bending.
You don't have to like one at the expense of others. Radiohead, along with Jason, Primal Scream and the Verve are all fantastic.
Intense
I thought that was Colin Greenwood on drums at first
Just what I needed, fucking c'mon!!!! Quality. X
the church starts here 2009
I walk with Jesus...
The audio is weak but WOW
festival hall 2009
can anything else really compare? Think about it.
The only thing that even comes somewhat close, is BJM "And this OUR music".
Bass tab?
Was this before or after he fired the whole Ladies and Gentlemen lineup? Looks like Damon Reece on drums, but I can't tell exactly
This was a few months before he gave the whole band (minus saxophonist Ray Dickaty) the elbow
"First he jumped, and then he looked . . ."
no way royal festival hall 2009 thats the don
an absolute classic, though the lead singer is a bit shy
Jason Spaceman is God
Are we aw getting paid..
Agreed. This is great by any standard. But saying it is the best "come together"??? Come on man! (referring to longlegged)
@longlegged It's a toss up between this and Primal Scream though for me.
Imagine if Jools came on playing his honky tonk piano over this.
Need better guitar players.
Crying out for some crazy indulgence on the guitar on this track.
Thought the same in 98.
