That is so beautiful. I have a friend who lives in Kamakura, but he never told me how amazing it is there. The croquettes you were eating looked so delicious, the dango did also. it all looked so delicious.
This is a FANTASTIC part of Japan that is close to Tokyo i highly reccommend turning Kamakura and Enoshima into a day trip and from Enoshima station walk to Enoshima Island, so so cool, thanks for the wonderful video!
Thanks for sharing! The food look so yummy! At the beginning of the video, when the train passed, I started to sing the "Slam Dunk" opening song. By the end I realized I wasn't all that wrong, hahaha!
That was yet another wonderful video, love your adorable Kiwi accent and narration but I must say your Japanese is impeccable, I cannot detect a foreign accent when you speak Japanese. I LOVE croquets, my mom used to make the potato/beef kind quite frequently. That Choco croquet does not sound very appealing to me but I would try it. Have you tried the milk/roux based center croquet yet? It's pretty tasty too but I think I prefer the potato center. The savory ones great with tonkatsu sauce. Will you be doing another Kamakura video this time highlighting the various landmarks like the temples, Giant bronze Buddha, etc.? Kamakura has such an interesting history it being the Hojo Shogunate capitol of Japan during the 13th century at the time of the 2 Mongol invasions of Japan. My mom was from Tochigi Ken (Prefecture) so a video from there would be nice especially from Ashio her inaka furusato, and Utsunomiya another town I frequented as a child growing up in Japan. Angela, please keep up the great work, love your videos though they do give me Japan withdrawals. 8-)
Hi Ji :) Thanks, maybe I should do a video on how I learnt my Japanese hehe. Milk/roux? Nope, I have never heard of that! Where can you get it? I went here for one whole day but filming takes a lot more time than it looks so I couldn't do another video about the landmarks. I probably will go back another day in the near future to do one though because it has so much history there! I will keep that in mind and try do a video if I'm ever in the Ashio area :) Thanks for your continuous support!
@@internationallyME hello Angela n all local citizen in Kamakura. Just wanna ask if some places /spot in Kamakura have some mystical creepy athmosphere? From historical view, there were some samurai battles happened in the area. Is it really creepy at night/afterdark?
I'm just back from 3 weeks in Japan and I watched so many of your vids before I went to get ideas of places to eat and things to see :) I just wanted to say, this inarizushi and the black sesame croquette from the shop you featured were two of my favorite things I ate in Japan so thanks so much for the recommendations :D
Thanks for all your vids, really great info. Please lower the background music by 75% would be a much better experience hearing you and taking in local sounds. Now I have to get out and explore Tokyo today!!!
I love korokke! I am extremely lucky that my Japanese grocer in Las Vegas has potato and vegetable! Thank you for your videos....next time I am in Japan I want to try the hidden spots you have shown.
I lived in Hayashi long ago, it was so close to Kamakura we spent our weekends there. It's too easy to snack all day & never sit down to eat, yum. This video left me starving, I was not hungry when I began watching.
hi i am a person in asia with big heart for japan . i like you and i love japan , the more i know about japan the more i belong there . i live for ever i live japan

Thanks for your videos Angela! I have watched every single one of them and you have helped so much in planning a very successful trip to Japan! This video convinced us to make a side trip to Kamakura hehe. We also took your advice in going off the beaten path in multiple cities. In fact, we got hopelessly lost in Takayama but enjoyed exploring the residential areas and meeting amazing locals who helped us out!
Aww thank you for watching all my videos!! I'm glad you guys decided to explore some of the off the paths :D Haha i get lost sometimes too but it leads me to finding hidden gems sometimes! Let me know if you have any videos you would like to see :)
I went to Kamakura yesterday but I wasn’t able to go through this street because we spent most of our time at the temples (since there were so many). But I’m studying abroad at keio for the semester so I will definitely go back for the food!!!! P.s. I’ve been binge watching your videos to find out what to do during my exchange!!! Love your videos!!!
