On the quality front, the video may have only survived due to a British Comedian's obsession with recording all UK broadcast television, primarily on VHS, but earlier shows were on 16mm. Bob Monkhouse recorded virtually everything broadcast from the late 1950s, to his death in death in 2003, when not writing Bob Hope's jokes, doing standup, appearing in many an advert, the odd film, and hosting many a TV show.
Monkhouse primarily recorded programmes he'd been in so very far from "virtually everything" that was broadcast. A lot of his collection was lost when he was taken to court for copyright infringement because at that time it wasn't clear what the rules were around domestic recordings which were then in their infancy. Monkhouse won but the police failed to return many of his recordings that they'd confiscated.
Hi Nick & Jodi, on Tomorrow`s World the original presenter was a former decorated wartime R,A.F. pilot. Introducing us to developments & future trends in Technology. One of these interesting things was the Supersonic jet, Concorde. Other things presenters introduced to us, were the cat`s eyes for the roads, the Micro Computer & the World Wide Web. Some of the items, however, never fulfilled their initial promise.
Very funny 😂. Also, so true about the BBC repeating everything a gazillion times lol. So does ITV. Supposedly new episodes of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire but they were filmed in 2022 during the pandemic. Easy to spot as Jeremy Clarkson doesn't shake their hand, doesn't ask them who is supporting them in the audience, nobody to meet the contestants when they leave the stage and lastly, at the end of the credits it says 2022. How they get away with saying it is new is baffling 🤔

As a few posts have said, this was a "take" on the now beloved show "Tomorrow's World", I, for one, being born in the 70's grew up with this tv classic (loved it). If you're interested, you should check out Tomorrow's World theme tune on UA-cam as each decade of the show airing had different "intro" titles and music to reflect the year, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. If you want to learn more about being British, then invest in reading Wikipedia about the show. At the time this was made, the 'standard' for CRT televisions was 625 'lines'. Nowadays, with LED & LCD devices, the standard is probably over 1000, so a certain amount of processing is required to make it viewable on a modern screen. That leads to the 'blurry' loss of quality & clarity.
