Same , I had a 1984 90 2.25 petrol sold it for £1000 twenty years ago and regretted it ever since . Had next to no welding done on it , just a bit on the cross member. Probably scrap now.
@@hammyh1165 That's a low price. I had a 1981 Series III diesel, SWB station wagon. Sold it in 1998 for £3500. They reckon that around 70% of all the Landies ever built are still being used, so maybe your '84 is still around somewhere?
Great video, Ed. It is neat to see this tonight. Just happens that I saw a Land Rover 90 on the road yesterday here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They certainly are unique. Rather nifty, too.
@@henryrolt3747 Really?? Without a function parking brake and a broken stock on the left side of the steering column? Don't get me wrong I think it's a great vehicle, we off road ourselves.
@@henryrolt3747 All's well and good, I just heard that everything had to be perfect to pass a MOT, I live in CA, and here cars don't have safety inspections, just a smog check every other year. I see cars on the road that should be in a junk "breakers" yard. Have a great day.....
You thinks that's bad?...I drive a Series 3 as a daily driver!....Power steering is for wimps! 😀And 40mph is top speed, with zero heating....You've gotta be brave or mad!!
Oh and no Defender ever had airbags, the sun visor must be off a totally different vehicle. The cubby box looks identical to the one in my 2011 110, so certainly custom fitted and maybe a custom lid.

Had a 2.25 petrol Series III 90.. Didn't have time to work on it and gave it away for a few hundred quid. Boy do I regret letting it go now!

Sorry to comment again but I got tears in my eyes when you turned the wipers on..... FUNNY.... My kids thought I had a heart attack.
16:08 the best thing ive ever seen in my life😂🤣
Haha 7:46 you let that one slip through, even if you were technically correct!
lol. Technically, scientifically and mechanically correct!
Keep Doing these Mate and you'll do well i love watching them they're really entertaining and well put together good job :)

I can imagine this Land Rover has been flying through every MOT😅😅

Thanks Michael, I wasn’t massively pleased with this one, but it was a long time ago now!
Great video. I've shared it on Twitter.
That voice over on the land rover ad..sounded remarkably like Captain Picard ( Patrick Stewart) ..was expecting him next to say " to boldly go"..
Haha, I thought that too
How do you pass an MOT without the hazards working?
What tires are those?
Looks like Pirelli, but I am to know what exactly are those (dimensions included please)
Afraid I don’t have a clue. This isn’t my car, and this was years ago.
When was the last time that passed a MOT???
5th Jan this year according to Gov.uk

@@jetsons101 I'm not saying it wasn't a "friendly" tester. But it's there to see on the Gov.uk website.

These things are easily fixed. This video was back in Autumn 2019!
Maybe the airbag warning was describing the owners wife......

Ingrained mud everywhere. A really authentic scummy interior. Proper!
Proper Land Rover.
Especially as it’s a proper bodge up box of bits!
The 90 was launched in 1984, only the 110 was 1983.
You push the wiper switch down for intermittent ;)

It;s one of those vehicles that is so poorly built but everyone loves them. Like the Trabant, or VW camper van.
