This particular model only inflates when the handle is pulled, or when manually inflating them. We do offer versions that automatically inflate when submerged in water which would inflate should the wearer become unconscious. Check out our A/M-24 or A-24 In-Sight versions.

Steve, the M-24 Belt Pack is only activated when the handle is pulled, so they would be good for what you described.

If you want to inflate using blow tube ,do you pull the velcro tabs to release vest,then blow or blow in tube and it will release vest by it self?

Seems so. Try not to need to inflate it so you don't have to waste money.

It would have been nice to see the lifejacket actually being inflated with the CO2 cartridge and not just seeing the guy jump in the water with an already inflated pack!?!

will these work on a float tube on waist sitting in the water while seated? Will in the water affect the waist preserver?

Can you use this for snorkeling? Like even if I was underwater with it for hours?

The Onyx M-24 Belt Pack fits a waist size of 24" to 52", chest size of 30" to 52", and is approved for those that are 80 lbs. and over. The waist belt has a belt carrier for excess webbing to tuck into.
